As we near the glorious day when Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., calls former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton before the House Select Committee on Benghazi for a grilling session that shell never be able to prepare enough for, were reminded of when Gowdy left a room full of journalists stunned and speechless an impressive feat.
In a typical Washington, D.C., press conference, a couple dozen journalists and media types crowd into a small room and fire off a barrage of questions toward the person at the podium but thats not how it works when Gowdys behind the wheel.
Gowdy changed the very nature of the traditional press conference when, just minutes into his statement, he turned the tables and began asking the questions starting with, Can you tell me why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi, the night that he was killed? Do you know? Does it bother you whether or not you know why Chris Stevens was in Benghazi?
He delivered his hard hitting questions in perfect Gowdy form, leaving the journalists in the room scrambling to figure out how to proceed.

This is an OLD VIDEO
I think it’s a year old.
Stupid political BS games.
Since when in America do we not hold those responsible for wrong doing accountable? Since when did we start cowering in fear to hold someone accountable because they might be replaced by someone who might do the same? Why would anyone fear doing wrong?
BS~
Can't a Congressionally-sibpoena'd witness be granted immunity, thus removing the risk of self-recrimination, and then be compelled to testify?
Haven't things like that been done before?
There’s impeachment. There’s also ‘contempt of Congress’ charges Congress can make and also have the Sargent at Arms detain individuals, no?
Impeachment only applies to judges, the president and vice-president and some other executive officers that have to be approved by the Senate. That is an option, but only if they can find enough evidence to support the charges. Since they are still in the investigation process, they do not have enough to support impeachment.
As far as contempt of Congress, that is something they could do for a short time, but would have little long-term effect, I fear. Generally, contempt of Congress charges are referred to the DoJ for prosecution, and this DoJ has refused to pursue any charges from Congress.
Gowdy was asking the MEDIA these questions?? The DUMB, INCURIOUS, RODEO CLOWN Media????? LOL!!!! GO GOWDY!!!! PERFECT!
STOP IT!!! Give him some credit!! geesh,
Waterboard yes! But first have SWAT show up at her home with flash bangs and zip ties.
I hope that analysis is correct, and in a normal world, that’s the way things would work. The many women I hear talk about her, though, just lock-step their loyalty to their sex.
They want to “make history.” So the presidency is a talisman of some sort, not an office to deal with governance.
You have any idea how much time it requires to secure erase a 4 of 6 terabyte drive?
Much easier to drop them in a bucket of acid or drill a hole in the cover and pour acid inside.
Well they can defund them, but shucks they would be blamed for shutting the government down. Better Red than Dead I guess.
You are correct that Congress does have the power of the purse, but Boehner and McConnell have already surrendered that as a bargaining tool. But you can't really blame Gowdy for that.
He did mention that there was evidence of her using a couple of private address. His position was/is that what's in the messages was more important.
With a GOP win in 2016, I’d like to see Gowdy as Atty. Gen., and Allen West as SecDef.
Yes, results do matter. I'd be rich if I had a nickel for every time Charles Schumer identified and acknowledged problem AND said something needed to be done, then moved on to the next one as people swooned by the fact they he agreed with them there was a problem. But, nothing every gets done.
...Letting information out midway through lets others know what they can and cannot cover up. ...

Right. Gowdy was a Federal prosecutor and knows how to gather as much data as possible before presenting evidence pursuant to charges. ...He’s still gathering data. Give him time.
I can blame him for not publicly demanding that the GOP use the power of the purse. Remember he is not above ducking important votes.
Yes,but can we afford to wait until Judgment Day?
