Hillary Clinton's only hope: She’ll need a real primary challenge — preferably from Elizabeth Warren
New York Daily News ^ | 03/09/2015 | BY GAIL SHEEHY

On the day after Hillary Clinton went on “60 Minutes” to hide the lies of her husband — 21 years ago — I rode knee-to-knee with her in a small plane and listened to her rehearse her war strategy: “Pound the Republican attack machine and blame the press.”

The events of the past week have confirmed a nagging fear: Those of us who’d hoped the controlling, deceptive, defensive Clinton of years past had grown into a more mature kind of leader are wrong.

She has reacted to a series of legitimate press reports raising serious questions about her use of a private email server to conduct the public’s business while secretary of state by going into bunker stance and attacking the messengers. We have seen this face on Hillary too often before, and it is deeply unappealing.

If Clinton wants to rebuild trust with voters and win the White House, she needs to sideline her arrogant instincts. She must show humility. It’s time she speaks candidly about her mistakes and what she has learned from them.

None of this is going to happen unless someone makes it happen.

That someone won’t be her husband or a reporter. It can only be a credible Democratic challenger for the presidency who can create clear contrasts and finally explode the myth that attacking Hillary is always an act of partisan warfare.

The obvious challenger, the one with a real opportunity to sharpen Hillary’s candidacy if not derail it entirely, is Elizabeth Warren.

What we learned this week, via the New York Times and Associated Press, is that Clinton deliberately set up a private email system to use for all of public business she conducted as the nation’s chief foreign policy officer. She did so despite explicit rules prohibiting that behavior.

I can't entirely figure out Cruz role in all this.

But, if being a Goldman Sachs VP was the only question mark in ol' Heidi's cap, I might, maybe, doubtful be able to gloss it over.

It's far worse. I am inserting a few paragraphs here.

Cruz’s insider connection is a family affair. His wife, Heidi, is a Goldman Sachs vice president in Houston, Texas, according to her LinkedIn profile. She also served as an economic advisor for the Bush administration. In 2011, a Cruz campaign spokesman portrayed Heidi as “an expert on North American trade,” in other words she is savvy when it comes to globalist transnational trade deals like NAFTA, the single most destructive government move against the American worker in history.

She was also a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations (see her bio at Claremont McKenna College), a position that expired prior to her husband’s attack on the globalist organization. In October, 2011, Ted Cruz reportedly characterized the CFR as “a pernicious nest of snakes” that is “working to undermine our sovereignty.” He previously called the CFR “a pit of vipers” during a speech delivered on October 13, 2011, to a Republican women’s group in Sugarland, Texas.

She's also a vegetarian. From Texas.

Yeah, something aint right there. Does anyone really believe someone as principled as Cruz appears to be would be married to someone so clearly on the inside, so adverse to his supposed American values?

Lizzy can’t match any of the resumes of solid and broader achievement and accomplishment of most ALL of our guys

Neither could "Obama", and he's been elected twice.

Well that’s certainly a fact. :)

Can I say Obama was an anomaly? Traditionally, solid records of achievement counted, and elevated the viability of any candidate, born out in “substance over style”.

Perky Lizzy is mostly a set of nerves, noise and head bobbing, over the narrow issue of redistribution. EEEKKK!
