Replace John Boehner as House Speaker (declare the chair vacant!)
redstate.com ^ | 3/3/15 | Bill S

Posted on 03/03/2015 2:35:17 PM PST by cotton1706

As my colleague streiff wrote a while ago, (alleged) Republican Speaker of the House Rep. John Boehner just pushed through a “clean” bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security and funded Barack Obama’s plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegals. Boehner has once again flipped the bird to the conservative base and shown his cowardice in the face of the Democrat meanies who threaten to throw a fit about a shutdown.

John Boehner must go. He must be replaced as House Speaker. He does not represent the interests of the majority of Americans who voted for a Republican House of Representatives and Senate and whose clear message was “oppose Barack Obama”.

Boehner and his cowardly GOP compatriots (seen in non-italics here) must be booted from the House during the next election season. As far as I’m concerned, Boehner should be campaigned against in the next primary AND the next general election, should he survive the primary. In the interim, the 167-some GOP House members who do possess some semblance of courage should immediately begin the process of removing Bohener as speaker. It’s time for the GOP representatives to shake the fear of retribution from Boehner and his co-conspirators and fight back. Committee assignments are not worth the damage that House and Senate leadership are doing to the Republican party and to the country by continuing to tolerate Barack Obama’s patently unconstitutional behavior.

I encourage you to write or call your representatives and demand that they work to remove Boehner as Speaker. The cowardice of the GOP leadership must stop now.

If you know, or can find, someone with 2 or 3 thousand dollars to run against him now is the time to start.
An unknown (and not very electable) person in my district spent 5 thousand dollars and got over 5% of the vote.
As soon as your candidate qualified your Representative would ‘see the light’ LOL!
And if he doesn’t and the Dem wins what have you lost?

Why go through all the Kabuki then?

Kabuki is to rinos what taqiyya is to muhamedans.

Only 18 "Republicans" had to be "flipped." I don't think Boehner has that much control over his side of the aisle if he'd hollered, cried [more likely] or crawled on his belly like a reptile.

McConnell should never have agreed to a clean bill. Period.

Not even House Minority Speaker Bob Michel was this bad of a craven surrender monkey. At least he had an excuse since the GOP was in the minority. Bonehead has no excuse what-so-ever.

I am probably done voting in federal elections anymore. I won’t waste my time and from what I can tell I am not alone. Boy will the repubs be surprised when they lose again in 2016!

However there is one more federal election I will be willing to vote in if 25,566 of my freeper friends will vote with me in Ohio. Heck I got 2 months rent to blow.

Ohio’s 8th District
Boehner 46,948
J Winteregg 14,928
E. Gurr 3,782
M Ashworth 2,673

I wonder how John Boehner manages to get any respect being such a willful or dishonest loser. We may have to create a new Term in his name to define such a weakling failure.

Hence forth we should declare the term “Boehner” to mean he ‘gutless surrendering for nothing’. lol

The Mandate of the American voters in 2014 was to STOP Obama, BOEHNER!

I cannot believe that bastard is still in office. Both bastards!

Is there a procedure for removing a sitting Speaker?

Only if the house wants it. Recalling him in his own state wouldn't unseat his sorry ass.

Can We the People have a march on DC and politely let Mr Boehner know that he’s being let go, and replaced with Col Allen West?

Please let us know what that procedure might be.

As far as I can tell, expelling from Congress may do it, but then again a Speaker can be someone not a Congressman.

Impeachment? The clock or the Grim Reaper may be the only way.

The house can vote for a new Speaker at any time. Boehner isn't elected to the House
Speakership by the public. The Reps control who is in the chair.

The key is “the House”, in which a majority includes the dems who will certainly support Boehner in a fight with conservatives.

Has ever such a removal of Speaker vote been called to fail or to pass?

Never happened in our history, no Speaker has ever been removed by vote.
