A federal judge warned the Environmental Protection Agency on Monday not to discriminate against conservative groups in how it responds to open-records requests, issuing a legal spanking.
Judge Royce C. Lamberth concluded the agency may have lied to the court and showed “apathy and carelessness” in carrying out the law, though the judge was unable to determine if documents were intentionally destroyed.
Judge Lamberth described the “absurdity” of the way the EPA handled a Freedom of Information Act request from the Landmark Legal Foundation and then the court case stemming from it — including late last week admitting it lied to the court about how it went about searching for documents.

Judge Lamberth defines the meaning of lethargy— did nothing, sanctioned nothing, corrected nothing.
A few cranky verbal grumblings and the EPA is quite allowed to move along on it’s way, freed now from any small concern that the Lamberth court might have imposed some mild consequences.
Not to worry.
If he refuses to name WHO lied and hold that individual accountable, nothing will change. Watch. The EPA is a leftist activist Agency. They will not stop violating the law and lying to courts and investigators about it.
If a Republican should get office, he should find out the person or people who dealt with the court dishonestly and punish them. The way you punish a federal worker is to reorganize and move them out of their position of power and into a dead end, do nothing job. You can clean up a lot by changing your mission and reorganizing to get different people who have the skills you need. You can shift funding to meet your new goal for the agency.
Walker and Cruz would be smart enough to do this. Never Jeb.
The IRS is still after us. Nothing changed.
