I was thinking of the old ice breaker, now retired.

Didnt Gore say Manhattan would be underwater by now?I wished that AlGore was correct about that. The same sea-level rise would drown tens of millions of other liberals in other coastal cities.

I remember seeing this ice breaker plowing through the ice in Duluth-Superior Harbor. It seemed she was nearly as wide and she was long...

Baraq fixed the whole rising sea thing shortly after being inaugurated, IIRC.

"Lake Eire has so completely frozen"I agree, and it does so quitter often. Note, however, that the map says it's only "90 to 99%" frozen over, a shade of gray. That's the point, NOAA has moved the goal posts on what's frozen over this year.

Most people don't realize that when the big lakes freeze they generally don't freeze over solidly. The wind blowing the ice around keeps much of it broken up. They're still largely covered with ice but its in the form of floes.

Just imagine how cold it would be without all the Global Warming?
Do not underestimate the power of that argument. There is enough evidence (such as the decline in Growing Degree Units)to counter the warming BS. Just sayin’

Do you mean distance from Lake Erie? About six hours on land from Monroe, Michigan to St. Ignace near the bridge. By lakes not sure.

There is a picture out there from last year with a guy and his pick up truck parked next to the Edson.
There was a time the river never (or at least rarely) froze over. DEQ blames zebra mussels cleaning the water: allowing it to ice over.
