In a landmark decision on net neutrality, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) declared the Internet a public utility under Title II of the 1934 Communications Act as reported by CBS News. The 3-2 split decision forces Internet service providers to not actively discriminate in terms of what content is transmitted at what speed.
Obama issued a statement supporting the net neutrality decision.
will protect innovation and create a level playing field for the next generation of entrepreneurs.
Just like Obamacare has? Just like the stimulus package?

I just know when I get scammed ... and that’s gotta stop.
Soros spent 10 years giving hundreds of millions of dollars to create net neutrality and these Regulations the FCC just unconstitutionally passed . He did it to shut down free speech and ruin the Internet and install socialism not to you help you or anyone. you are a leftist propagandist.
Soros is a communist/marxist hell bent on turning the USA and the world into a socialist/communist state. soros wrote this tyranny the FCC tyrannically passed. He's an evil marxist not out to help anyone and even if they were socialism never works and that ‘s what net neutrality is socialism
Proof these regulations came from soros: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3262106/posts
If those regulations stop throttling and speed lanes and insure that I actually receive the speed I pay for ... that alone will make me happy!
it will stop everything so will a 10 mile meteor hitting the Earth. net neutrality is socialism and that never worked . you trust it cause you trust government and trust socialism.
it's the same thing as wishing a meteor would the Earth to solve some imaginary problem liberals fabricated
Every problem real or fake was caused by the government regulation. this is what they did to healthcare . regs hurt healthcare so they say look this problem it's expensive here so then more government is the solution obamacare
the internet is not broken . no need for government interference and much less this Soros net neutrality which is socialism not any lie they fed you to get you to buy into it
Well in truth you can not guarantee the way you want on the internet that is a shared packer switching network... the whole idea of packet switch network away to get away from a nailed up ckt path for any one user ..that's not an efficient way to use ckts..you gotta keep the ckt carrying “payload” data traffic at all times...and this sharing allows the big burst of data at speed...
You want a dedicated path you're basically back to dial up modem speeds because to have your guaranteed the ckt most of time is sitting idle ...no different than having a dedicated limo or dedicated private plane yeah it's going to be there at a moment's notice most the time is going to be sitting idle and wasted
The internet fuction like the old party line phone system that everone could be on at the same time.. you just had to learn to share and you couldn't push everybody off
On that party line..your asking for a guarantee no one will using the party line whenever you want to use it and asking that any phone number you might call will not be busy...
The traffice is between two point.. not one.. so unless youn get a dedicated point to point circuit between any two points you can't guarantee that the path will always be available or they'll be no congestion that my slow you down or that it might be busy with some ones elses traffic......
And no matter how much guarantees or how much you buy on your end it doesn't guarantee with the other ends acess....
...data communications is a transportation service just like an airline or the railroad or a shipping company there's only certain guarantees you can make
So unless you're willing to help pay for your own private plane to stand by and be available for you 24 /7 to take you anywhere which is outrageously expensive
You've got to share the service with other...so you pay for different classes of service
and even if you want to pay for first class service and the airline flies to where you want to go at the times you want to go OK... then ok .. but its not going to go where you want every time immediately..
The original TCP/IP protocols from years ago are not broken, but certain telecoms are doing things to them that was not out in there in the first place. SO, if those telecoms would leave the TCP/IP protocol in place and alone, I would be happy ... no throttling, no speed lanes and no extortion to make certain websites pay extra or else customers will not be able to access them.
The Internet is not broken as long as those things are not allowed to happen.
In relation to the airlines, it would be like overbooking flights to make sure they get a full plane ... and then the others who already paid for their tickets just get bumped off the flight.
With the telecoms, the can simply build out their capacity so they are not overselling their product, and then no one would be getting bumped. If they have 100 customers paying for a certain download speed, make sure THAT CAPABILITY is actually there for all hundred of them, and not “overbook the flight” ... :-) ...
‘Many times a land line works during a power outage when cell phones don’t.
That’s one reason why we are KEEPing our land line.
2nd is messages left on our answer machine stink by folks using cell phones.
you trust soros and obama ? why? only a socialist would and you are
Why would anyone trust government ? for one government is unaccountable and just evil inefficient ,corrupt force. so is socialism. you don't have Conservative nor American values. Americans trust the free market , freedom ,capitalism , rugged individualism. you and the rest of liberals/democrats trust government . but that's ridiculous . would you trust someone who was holding a gun on you to do things for you? no right ridiculous but government are the ones with the guns
Well, I don’t quite feel up to blowing up the telecom, because they’re scamming me and their other customers, and I don’t want to go in and shoot their CEO ... LOL ... so a law that they don’t scam me and other customers would be a bit more civilized in my mind ... :-) ...
When you have money to pay for something that's called capitalism and freedom and that works .it's like saying those that want to have a new car can't pay for it and that dealers can't charge them for a new car or a private plane, or first class on a plane etc. of those that want a nice new house can't pay for it and that no one can charge them extra for that as opposed to those that don't want to pay . so give everyone a home that's equal :that's called socialism and it never has worked. the market limits access to things with prices . and price determines the availability if the government regulates pricing saying for example all certain food or housing has to be a certain the same price then you'd have socialism as you'd have price controls and that leads to rationing and shortages. people in Venezuela now don't have food , and have to stand in line of thousands to get toilet paper etc.
Why do you trust government and socialism?
why should we trust government ? why don’t you answer?
Well, when I pay a car dealer for a Ferrari today, and then come back tomorrow to pick it up and they deliver a Volkswagen ... that is about the time I’m going to get a prosecutor and the court after them ... LOL ...
SO ... when I pay for 150 Mbps service today and can’t get a 15 Mbps movie tomorrow, I want to get the same prosecutor and court after them, too ... :-) ...
When I go to an intersection with red and green lights, I expect that those with red lights on their side will stop their vehicles and with my green light, I can go through without a potential accident happening.
I don’t want to be carrying a gun for the purpose of shooting everyone that runs the red light, but instead want to depend on the laws that keep other people in line (unless you’re simply dealing with a hardcore criminal).
SO I appreciate those laws which are in effect so that I can go through that intersection without it being the Wild, Wild West and taking your life in your hands.
I depend on others knowing that if they continually break the law and always run those red lights, that the law and officials will catch up to them and they will be responsible for their actions.
That’s the kind of stuff I appreciate in our society, and whether it’s driving my car or cruising the Internet, I’ll be counting on the law to keep a lot of others “honest”.
Well, you see, I don’t want to be shooting the car dealer when he scammed me ... I want to turn him over to the law and have them deal with him ... :-) ...
Oh that’s precious....ok...using your same anology...
I ride a motorcycle....i’ve seen enough people run dead red lights that I NEVER simply trust another motorist to stop just becuase their light is red....blind trust will get you killed in short order....and appearently you’ve never heard of a crooked cop.
Net Neutering is about gaining control.....and nothing more.
And you are clapping....
I’ve seen people run red lights, too ... but I depend on the laws to the extent when I driving down a thoroughfare and I have a green light, I don’t stop at that intersection When the light is green for me ... and look both ways first, and then go through the intersection. No, I simply drive right through that intersection when the green light is on my side.
In fact I have NEVER ONCE seen traffic stop at such a green light, as if it were a stop sign and then proceed after stopping. I ... and others ... depend upon the laws and others following them, given that officials are prepared to penalize people for not following the laws.
That’s exactly how I want my fellow citizens to act with their driving, and car dealers act in not scamming me out of my money and telecoms not scamming me out of service that I’ve paid for.
What you want...and reality...are two very different things.
