My voting machine in Tulsa, Oklahoma ... is a piece of paper, and a pen ... :-) ...
BUT ... at some point, I wouldn’t mind signing in over the Internet to the Elections Department in Tulsa and voting directly into their offices.

Oh, by the way, already on Free Republic, there are threads popping up (just like with Obama) that Ted Cruz is not eligible for being President because he’s not a natural born citizen. Perhaps this is what you’re talking about in that people will ignore that about Ted Cruz, because of the precedent that Obama set.
They’re saying Soros contributed $196 million to get a yes vote on this - that’s kind of telling me the yes side is not my side.
Nobody has ever convinced me (except temporarily) that there are people who were citizens at birth who are not Natural Born Citizens.
“Obama” is not any kind of citizen. He was a British Subject at birth, and is now a British Subject and/or an Indonesian citizen. Since he was not an American citizen at birth, he has never been and never can be a Natural Born Citizen.
Oh, and also, the D’s voted yes and the R’s no.
And that argument went nowhere ... in the last six years ... :-) ...
But don’t worry, we now get to contend with a Canadian ... Ted Cruz ...
Let the ISP’s run their business the way they want, you don’t have a right to their labor.
This Star Traveler trusts government. you star traveerl trust government . you are a socialist and should be banned for pushing this Soros propaganda . Unbelievable idiocy. Anyone who trusts government to do anything much less “fix” the Internet is a complete and total idiot.
They can charge anything they want for the different levels of service, as they do already. What they can’t do is scam people. That’s a different story.
An example of scamming is a telcom restricting service to a particular service or website. For an example to make it more understandable here on Free Republic, it would be like a telcom coming to Free Republic and saying that if Free Republic pays a fee to them, they will guarantee service for their customers. If Free Republic doesn’t agree to pay the fee, then the telcom cannot guarantee that their customers will be able to access Free Republic.
That’s one such thing that these telcoms are doing, in supplying their customers with “specially selected websites and services, meaning the websites who have paid for it.
Also, there is the “throttling” of the speeds, even when a customer has paid for it already. Then there are the “fast lanes” where service is slowed down until a website pays for a “speed lane”.
There are things that are not to be allowed ... by those telcoms.
I just don’t like being scammed by a company when I pay for 150 Mbps down ... and can’t get a mere 15 Mbps movie. That’s scamming ... and not to be allowed.
“The Feral (sic) Governments track record is clear. Name one agency that it has taken over where the agency has become more efficient, reduced costs and succeeded at its mission, and most importantnot grown year over year. One, JUST ONE!!”
Need an agency to take over the Obama regime.
Try the next election ... since the last election didn’t work ... :-) ...
“Im quite sure that a major purpose of this plan it to throttle the flow of information as the final crackdown begins...”
Those were my first thought as well.
“There are things that are not to be allowed ... by those telcoms.”
“MANY times a land line works during a power outage when cell phones don’t.”
I live in a very rural area. It’s true that a land line works (using an older phone) during a power outage, so I’ve been told, but my cell is what I use to report the outage with.
The internet was not broken.
As for porn access to children, Obama FCC in charge is like a pedophile in charge of dress code feelings at a high school.
... LOL ... okay, I suppose you’re all right with a telecom saying to Free Republic to pay an extra fee to let Free Republic reach their customers, but not me. That’s a shakedown.
No shakedowns allowed in conservative circles, that’s a liberal methodology ... :-) ...
And perhaps you’re okay with paying for 150 Mbps service and not being able to get a 15 Mbps movie, but I’m not. That doesn’t sound very “conservative” to me ... LOL ...
What outage are you talking about? The old POTS line rarely ever breaks down. Are you using another kind of phone for your home, other than a POTS line?
The Internet protocol was not broken but the telecoms are overriding it with “THROTTLING” and “SPEED LANES” ... :-) ...
In addition to that, they’re not delivering what’s being paid for by customers (like I was saying ... having 150 Mbps down and not getting a 15 Mbps movie ... that’s throttling!).
That's leftist propaganda and lies you are spewing
Soros has been funding this net neutrality for 10 years with hundreds of millions of dollars. No matter what these leftists say they(Soros) are going to fix they are lying and it's just a way to ruin the Internet and have the government control the Internet and information. It's socialism/obamacare for the Internet. What about that Soros funded and created these regulations and net neutrality don't you understand. His goal is turning the USA into a socialist state. it's not about anything else
Proof that this Internet regulation was designed by Soros :http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3262106/posts
you are spreading soros and leftist propaganda on a conservative site.
These regulations and net neutrality didn't come from anywhere else just Soros and other far left organizations
Here’s some general information about throttling ...
Not all the information there applies specifically to the problem, but some does.
