A top political nemesis of President Vladimir Putin was shot and killed early Saturday in central Moscow, Russian police said, one day before an opposition rally was scheduled to take place.
Boris Nemtsov, 55, a former deputy prime minister, was shot four times from a passing car as he was walking on a bridge just outside the Kremlin. Interior Ministry spokeswoman Yelena Alexeyeva told reporters on the scene that Nemtsov was walking with a female acquaintance, a Ukrainian citizen, when a vehicle drove up and unidentified assailants shot him dead. The woman wasn't hurt.

...”I dont think anyone expects the political opposition to do well in a country with ‘a media tightly controlled’ by Putin”....
Sounds like our country.
The mothers of Russian soldiers are all Ukrainians?
Uh?..
To clarify some of the teams, leftovers from maidan, met in Ukraine and then moved from their to Russia.
Murders are usually discreetly done with a syringe sticking out of an attache case or umbrella tip. Nobody even knows that a murder has been committed in the old Soviet Union. It looks like a heart attack or stroke. This was to make a point. You’re right.
Ukranians are often hired for assassinations. Wouldn’t surprise me if she was in on it, bringing the target to the chopping block.
Also, I’m thinking there was a reason/purpose to leaving his Ukranian girlfriend, with whom he had one child, unharmed but allowed to witness it.
Show me any link that shows Ukrainians are often hired for assassinations.
Putin has nothing to gain from this assassination as Nemtsov had a small following compared to that of Putin and too closely aligned with Yeltsin's destruction of Russia........the last thing Putin would want to do is make a martyr of an opposition leader two days before an opposition protest..and he wouldn't do so feet away from the Kremlin....... Putin is many things but not dumb. He wouldn'tt risk an escalation of the protest.
That’s as good of guess as believing hired guns took out a high profile target but left the only witness totally untouched.
I dunno, maybe that’s the latest in hit-man tactics, to make sure to leave a witness behind.
Like they advertise...lolol.
That’s right. Putin would never assassinate political opponents, because he has “nothing to gain.” Or something.
Wonder if she led him to the ridge?....they are saying it was her idea to walk there....might be since she’s from Ukraine and come there she might have sold him out....money talks to a 22 yr’ old hanging on the arm of a 55 yr. old.....especially if she’s Ukrainian.
I’m not saying that....but he sure wouldn’t do it the way this was done...not with the degree of people he has to order about willing to do so...and certainly not on the eve of the march....
Kennedy was going to move to remove nuclear reactor and weapons from Israel .does that mean Israel killed him no...This guy was going to lead a rally does that mean that was the reason he was killed no.

It’s a new breed of honorable compassionate hit-men who have vowed to kill quickly, minimize suffering and leave all witnesses safe and untouched.
Common knowledge. Ask any former resident of the USSR.
Honey, I like to take walks in the middle of the night, on lonely bridges before bed. Lets walk to the hotel, you buy me some Stolichnaya on the way, OK big boy?
“Its a new breed of honorable compassionate hit-men who have vowed to kill quickly, minimize suffering and leave all witnesses safe and untouched.”
These are contract killers brought from afar, maybe Chechnya who will never be seen again. They don’t care about a witness(there were probably several) what they care about is killing the target. Many famous russian killings(Sergei Yushenkov and Paul Klebnikov for instance) had witnesses and were never solved.
You bet, they were from over the rainbow, where hit-men leave witnesses with cell phones untouched. It's a macho Russian thing.
Help me out here. You think professional hit men kill witnesses?
