These “new found” tapes have probably already been doctored IMHO. They will find nothing incriminating on them. This evil Administration can’t be that stupid. We already know they are not law abiding, so breaking the law and altering them would not be a problem.

Tampering with evidence on that scale would take years and hundreds of techs to implement.
A scale so large could not be hidden under even the most perfect scenario.
A nice assumption but not reality.
