The Texas federal judge who suspended President Obamas executive actions on immigration has rebuffed the Justice Department's request that he consider lifting that order by Wednesday.
Earlier this week, the Obama administration asked U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen to let the immigration programs go forward while the court case played out. The DOJ urged Hanen to decide by Wednesday.
But Hanen said he wont honor the request because he has given those challenging the actions until Monday to respond to the departments request.
Hanen issued his injunction Feb. 16 to halt Obamas executive actions, which would spare as many as 5 million illegal immigrations from deportation.

I thought they were “judge shopping.”
Obama threatens “consequences” for ICE employees who will not carry out his illegal dictates.
The judge should hold Obama in contempt for this.
Yup.
We will see what happens.
the ruling must be appealed to the 5th circuit (i think)
I already do but my contempt doesn’t do anything.
Put some ice on it, Barry.
Their will be consequences for the judge. Remember the President Goon thinks he’s “good at killing people” and he is actively threatening Government employees.
Which would cause as many as 5 million illegal immigrants to have to obey the laws of the United States.
The Obamanites made a typically cynical offer to the judge:
“We’ll eat Texas last.”
Absolutely. Boy _resident ignores the fact there are three branches of government.
“Federal Judge”
ALL BETS OFF, CPUSA IN CHARGE OF US MEDIA.
Yes, he has issues with identifying boundaries.
He sent a note to Congress after he vetoed Keystone XL that basically told them they overstepped their authority by passing the bill.
???
What part of NO do you not understand DOJ?
It is not clear that the judge should accept any expedited briefing schedule, or capitulate to DOJ demands to decide by a particular date whether to grant relief from his carefully crafted injunction.
However, the injunction was clear that it did not prevent DHS from prioritizing deportations. DHS can place terrorists and violent felons at the top of the priority list, and otherwise law abiding illegals at the bottom. So persons who have not committed crimes and have been present in the US for a substantial period of time will not have to fear deportation even while the injunction is in force.
Which would cause as many as 5 million illegal immigrants to have to obey the laws of the United States.

That’s BS. They already ignored US laws by entering the country illegally.
