Huge deficit spending.
In spite of those things (and the ones you listed), he was a great president. And I think we all need to remember those blemishes on Reagan when we are looking for the next Conservative candidate. They won’t be perfect. Reagan sure wasn’t.
You pretty much summed up what I think of president Reagan.
I admire him for winning the cold war, and on his watch inflation was tamed and 22 million jobs were created. I made lots of money in the stock market during 8 years of Reagan. Reagan did a great job of improving America’s stature in the world. Overall a very good president.
But he was not all pure. Many here want to put their blinders on for his Amnesty to 3 million illegals. That encouraged more illegals to flood in. Even more than that, I was upset about his reaching deals with the democrat congress on spending. Spending tripled, but tax revenues doubled during his 8 years.
