I know little about Bardot beyond her famous name, and I imagine there are more areas we'd disagree than agree. But I'll happily cheer the enemy of my enemy in this case!
Stay where you are, it’s not much better here.
We too, fondle and kiss muzzie ass as if our lives depended on it.
For one brief time in my life, she taught me everything I knew.
It’s called racial diversity.
It is our strength.
NOT.
I first saw Brigitte Bardot in Viva Maria in the early 1970’s, watching late night tv with my sister when my parents were probably at a fondue party.
I was awestruck. She was so beautiful and I wanted to be her when I grew up.
Then I saw Kansas City Bombers and wanted to be a Roller Derby queen.
Good for Brigitte!
However, we still WIN FREE SPEECH CASES before the US Supreme Court in the USA ... and that is fundamentally different than in France.
Here’s an example of a recent U.S. Supreme Court case in regards to EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE SPEECH, in regards to a religion!

Westboro Baptist Church wins Supreme Court case for right to protest military funerals
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/03/03/AR2011030304124.html
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Westboro Baptist Church on Wednesday. As Robert Barnes reported:
The First Amendment protects a fringe church’s anti-gay protests at military funerals, a nearly unanimous Supreme Court ruled Wednesday in a powerful opinion that spoke to the nation’s tolerance for even hateful public speech.
The court’s most liberal and most conservative justices joined in a decision likely to define the term. It writes a new chapter in the court’s findings that freedom of speech is so central to the nation that it protects cruel and unpopular protests - even, in this case, at the moment of a family’s most profound grief.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. wrote that Westboro Baptist Church’s picketing at fallen soldiers’ funerals “is certainly hurtful and its contribution to public discourse may be negligible.” But he said the reaction may not be “punishing the speaker.”
The case dealt with the willingness of Americans to tolerate even hateful speech. As Peyton Craighill explained:
A poll last summer from the AP, GfK and the National Constitution Center found that by a very large margin people believe that free speech rights should be protected “even if they take positions that seem deeply offensive to most people.” Fully 70 percent sided with unfettered free speech rights and only 28 percent said that people should have the right to say what they believe, except when those statements might be deeply offensive.
The case involves a tiny church that has made a practice of demonstrating at funerals of U.S. soldiers killed in action, reasoning that military deaths are God’s retribution for the expanding acceptance of homosexuality.
Their demonstrations have featured signs that read “Thank God for Dead Soldiers,” and “God Hates Fags.” It might be a stretch to find many people who would agree with this line of reasoning or the appropriateness of such a venue for spreading their word. But a nearly unanimous Supreme Court ruled that such demonstrations are protected under the U.S. Constitution.

If Brigitte Bardot doesn’t want Government Fines and Government mandated JAIL SENTENCES for speaking EXTREMELY OFFENSIVE things against Islam ... then she needs to GET OUT OF FRANCE ... and come over to the USA where her HIGHLY OFFENSIVE SPEECH is protected by the U.S. Constitution!!
What on earth is sending this to the White House and Congress going to have to do with FRANCE and its laws?! ... :-) ...
Got it. Thanks.
I was just saddened by the fact that this woman, who did so much for France, is being vilified for a bunch of bearded barbarians.
I see this trend developing in the US.
Say it with me children...
“ISLAM IS NOT A RACE”
In the USA you have “persuasion” and “public intimidation” being used ... by some who want to shut up those others who say harsh things about Islam. What they don’t have at their disposal is “legal sanctions”.
SO ... if someone shrinks away because of MERE WORDS USED AGAINST THEM, in order to get them to shut up ... they are not upholding the Free Speech LAW of the USA. Those people who feel intimidated because of a few “WORDS” used against them by liberals, are not worthy of upholding the U.S. Constitution!
I would tell those who feel intimidated by mere words by liberals ... to “grow a spine” ... :-) ...
This one or is there another one? I can’t go to breitbart site without losing my temper waiting for it to open.... Your idea is a good one!!!
I am fed up with being under the thumb of this population which is destroying us, destroying our country.
“”What on earth is sending this to the White House and Congress going to have to do with FRANCE and its laws?!””
I think the poster meant stealing the line as it pertains very well to the USA also!!!!
I looked at that quote ...
I am fed up with being under the thumb of this population which is destroying us, destroying our country.
There’s no way that pertains to this country. And if someone wrote that to Congress and the White House, they both would know that the person writing it had NO GRASP OF REALITY in this country.
While France had a percentage of the population, ranging from 5% to possibly 10% being Muslim and they are actually causing quite a problem in France with rioting and burning of cars and other property ... NO SUCH THING is happening in the USA.
The USA, right at the moment, has approximately 0.8% to 0.9% (that’s LESS than 1%) of the U.S. population as Muslim (per Pew Research who tracks this stuff for all religions and all countries in the world). Pew Research has tracked the increases in Muslims from three categories - immigration, natural births and conversions - and it shows that in the year 2030 (in the USA) the Muslim population will be at 1.8% of the population.
NOTE!! That is 1.8% in 2030 ... WHILE France is about THREE TIMES LARGER RIGHT NOW.
If someone wrote that to the Congress and the White House, they would sound like a TOTAL IDIOT, and not worth taking two seconds to talk to!!
WELL ... Le Pen had enough testosterone to be RABIDLY ANTISEMITIC!
When I was in Paris in my late 20’s what struck me was the manner of speech by good looking French women. They had more feminine voices and pronunciation than any other Western women I have come across. Bardot in her prime was the epitome of French women.
dear stoop travailer,
You wrote:
“What on earth is sending this to the White House and Congress going to have to do with FRANCE and its laws?!”
Please do NOT tell me that your remark was meant as a ‘tongue in cheek’ attempt at joviality??? Only someone with the equal IQ of a Fergusonite, might attempt such, and pull it off.
This statement: I am fed up with being under the thumb of this population which is destroying us, destroying our country., can and should be used, when referring to CAIR, or any White House-loved mohammedan group.
