He is a Muslim. He asked his victims if they were Muslim. Then he stabbed them when they say they weren’t. If this isn’t a hate crime, what is? The fact that Terrence Lavaron Thomas has not been charged with a hate crime shows yet again that hate crime laws are political tools in the hands of the powerful, used to menace the powerless groups they dislike. DETROIT, MI — Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper didn’t charge a Detroit man with a hate crime after it’s suspected he stabbed two people at a Southfield bus stop, possibly motivated by religious hate.
Nick Loussia, Deputy Chief of Police for the Southfield Police Department, said the suspect, 39-year-old Terrence Lavaron Thomas, “is Muslim, and asked the victims what religion they were” before allegedly attacking them.
He’s charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent and possession of marijuana.
Oakland County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Paul Walton said the evidence doesn’t support a 2-year felony charge of ethnic intimidation, although investigators are still interviewing witnesses.
Walton said an argument started over “bad breath and bad teeth” before it “deescalated to a physical altercation.”
“At this point … I’m not hearing anything that is going to monumentally change any of the charges,” Walton said.
The FBI is looking at the case also to see if any federal hate crimes were committed.
“We’re taking all of the logical investigative steps with regards to the sorts of violations we investigate,” David Porter, spokesman for the Detroit FBI field office, said Thursday. “There is no update to provide[.]
“I’m not saying anything beyond we are investigating the matter.”
Thomas’s bail was set at $1 million cash or surety bond.
According to police, Thomas attacked the victims, a 52-year-old man and 51-year-old man from Detroit, after he “made several comments about his religion and asked the victims about their religious beliefs just before the assault occurred.”
When police arrived to the scene Saturday night, they found that the 52-year-old victim had been stabbed in the head, neck and back. The 51-year-old victim had been stabbed in the hand….
Right! FBI is owned by the Muslim Brother hood. Federal Bureau of Islam.
With any luck they’ll set him free so justice may be served.
They wound up reducing the charges to assault, and most of them were let off with only probation.
Yeah but Kym Worthy did charge them with racial intimidation.
But she dropped that charge and let them off on a plea deal, even though they admitted the crime!
Wow, she did what every other prosecutor in the country does.

If you are a member of a “victim class”, you cannot by definition hate. And this dude is a twofer, Black and Muslim. Of course, it’s not a hate crime.
CH 7 Action News’ Jennifer Bisram reported that the victims were attacked “because of their religion”.
Oh really? How can that be true when the attacker didn’t really know what religion(s), if any, the victims were. Apparently, all they said was “no”, that they were not Muslim, and he tried to kill them anyway based on that alone.
What Bisram should have said is that the victims were attacked because of the perpetrator’s religion, especially since the attacker told the police that he is a Muslim.
She could have reported the known facts with technical correctness but instead she reported the most PC version that she could have...
For the sake of what?
And here’s another thing I think is ‘unusual’- There have not been any follow-up reports by the locals. Not even on the condition of the victims.
The victims were Christian. The perp was Muslim. This needs to be said LOUDLY. The media is censoring and twisting the facts to favor ISLAM. I’ll bet there has been some communication from the top implementing this “policy”, which can be followed all the way to the White House - i.e. if one has the key to get there. We need to begin a campaign - FOIA every single, damn news agency.
They are striving to be in compliance with the “Obama Doctrine”. They should be stopped just as Obama must be stopped. I don’t know how untouchable (in all constitutionality) they are but I for one, have become more of a news monitor or media watchdog than I had been a mere viewer of our local news stations in SE Michigan.
