Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday other countries should not have the illusion that they can attain military superiority over Russia, Interfax reported.
"No one should have the illusion that they can gain military superiority over Russia, put any kind of pressure on it. We will always have an adequate answer for any such adventures," he was quoted as saying in an address he will present next week on the Defenders' of the Fatherland Day holiday.
The report of Putin's comments came the same day British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said that Putin posed a "real and present danger" to the Baltic nations...

Hmm. I recall the Russians always using the term "Motherland", with "Fatherland" being more attributed to the Nazis.
I guess the lines are getting a bit blurry.
As far as Putin himself, he is a fake, and anyone that tries that hard to look masculine, and actually runs a semi nude campaign of it, with fake action shots and even fake discoveries (remember his fake diving discoveries?), has some serious issues.
This photo of him riding a horse half naked is pathetic, the horse looks like something that the photographer ordered from the petting zoo, totally child safe.
So, this must be why obamaumao told Medvedev to tell Pootie Poot he’d be more “flexible”. Flexible like Little Richard’s a@@-hole. So the russians can lead him from behind as it were. Taking it in the uh rear.
Do you really think that our military is no match for Russia’s 1 year draftees?
Operational range: 6,800 miles
6,800 miles from their eastern and western and southern borders covers a lot of ground and sea.
and the vehicle it sits on, along with many Russian military vehicles, is manufactured in Belarus
With our current leadership? No.
As long as 0bama is the POTUS even Bali can talk tough about their military.
I’m really curious how you guys have decided that our GIs are now the dregs of the earth that are suddenly incompetent, and can’t fight.
Their story has to be a frightening one, since the Ribbentrop- Molotov treaty and subsequent invasion of Poland/Russia by the nazis, and the prior “agreement” about the Polish state. The entire story of the Polish duchys and the destruction of the Polish officers by Stalin. The Russians are, first and foremost always liars. And they telegraph their fears, upon which they take action— like the shoot down of KAL 007. Xenophobic, the only way Putin can rule is to have an outside foreign enemy— to rouse the Stalinists and totalitarian/junta ruling groups. Freedom is dead more and more in Russia— and maybe that’s what they always intended, like a 10 year plan then back to the same old same old.
Mother Russia can’t project conventional military power very far beyond their border. They had a fairly difficult time in Georgia, as recently as 2008. On the other hand, they are the only nuclear power, that I am aware of, that boasts about that capability. Whether or not they really plan to use it is uncertain, and I think Putin uses that as leverage.
Thank you.
According to Anatoliy Golitstn, a KGB defector, that was exactly the plan. A false liberalization in the Soviet Union while the underground soviet system remains in place, later to re-emerge. Interesting you used the phrase "same old same old," Golitsyn's book was titled "New Lies for Old."
Maybe Putin is dying and wants take as many people as possible with him
Well it is true that the marxist in chief would be loathe to employ anti-missile systems we currently have in place (AK and elsewhere), or satellite based defenses which we also have.
The mobile platforms are ok. The targeting, not so much, but then they were never very big on being accurate, sledge hammer vs. a stiletto.
It would be interesting to know the inner thoughts of the top military brass as they watch their commander-in-chief cripple and dismantle the nation’s military, in preparation for its destruction, and theirs. We know what our elected representatives think. They think its cool, since they are free to speak out, unlike the military, and they never say a word.
The GIs are NOT incompetant. The *LEADERSHIP* is completely incompetant.
So Russia can defeat the American military?
Does that mean it can defeat us as part of NATO?
Obama has replace the military brass with fellow travelers (and homos).
