Scarborough: Like Radical Islam, 'Ultrafundamentalist' Christianity Could Also Lead to Violence
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 02/16/2015 5:18:27 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Joe Scarborough says he doesn't want to be "torn to shreds online" for analogizing the threat of radical Christianity to that of radical Islam. In that case, the solution is simple: Scarborough should stop analogizing the threat of radical Christianity to that of radical Islam.

On today's Morning Joe, Scarborough twice suggested such parallels, analogizing radical Islamists to "ultrafundamentalist Christians who believe every single word of the Bible has to be interpreted in the exact ways which could also lead to some violence." A bit later, Scarborough circled back, saying "it doesn't matter what faith you're in," that a literal reading of scripture attracts the outcasts of society, for better or "for much worse."

Joe once defended an abortion doc killer. Maybe he’s worried about his own depraved inclinations.

In other words, because a group of imaginary christians could possibly be imagined to be violent, real Christians do not have any moral grounds to condemn moslems who burn people alive in cages, according to this guy.

Ultrafendamentalist Christianity leads to pacifists who sing and pray whilst being eaten by lions.

I cannot imagine anything more peaceful than an ultra-fundamentalist Christian who takes the words of Jesus seriously.

“You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, ‘Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’ But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment.”
- Matthew 5:21-22

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”
- Matthew 5:9

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
- Matthew 5:43-44

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
- Matthew 22:37-40

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
- Matthew 5:16

It’s hard to see how following Jesus religiously could be a bad thing. That is because I read the Bible itself, not an MSNBC Cliff Notes version presented for the purpose of deceiving the ignorant and gullible.

No it couldn’t. It could lead to Catholic disgust for his ilk however.

‘Ultrafundamentalist’ Socialism Frequently Leads to Violence. And dehumanization, and horrific pollution, and authoritarian repression and surveillance, and anti-democratic one party government, and staggeringly high crime rates, sexual perversion and abuse, and artificial and real shortages, and suppression of free speech, the right to assemble, the right to bear arms, etc.

Yes, the young staff member Lori Klausutis who was “found” dead in Scarborough’s campaign office, the circumstances of whose death Scarborough obfuscated, lied about and has forever failed to address, even to her shocked and still-grieving family.

The young woman’s death in 2001 followed close upon Scarborough’s surprise resignation from his congressional seat (he had been reelected to the seat only six months earlier!) amid rumors of adultery, family upheaval, etc.

Naturally Scarborough has found a home at MSNBC where, along with “The Reverend” Al Sharpton, he is one of two prominent hosts know to have human blood on their resumes.

Ed Schultz is a near-third but so far as anyone can determine he did shoot his hunting dog but merely beat his then-wife.

So, how many people have been killed in the last 50 years by “ultrafundamentalist” Christians?

Last time I checked the number approached zero.

He is channeling obama.. “Yes the muslims do X, but the Christians did Y in the middle ages and Z in the south.” His variation is.. ‘Yes the muslims do X but the Christians might do Y and Z in the future!”
That this is bozo still has a job is testament to how apathetic the citizens of this country have become.

Probably folks who observe Jewish law, and acknowledge Christ as the messiah, and send out missionaries and doctors to convert and help the heathen.

I can see them being a threat...
