State Rep. Becky Corbin (R., Chester) knows about the ravages of contagious disease.
...
Corbin, who said she still bears the physical scars from measles, went on to become a pharmaceutical chemist.
...
Corbin and other lawmakers say they want to close what they call a "loophole" that has allowed parents to opt out of vaccinations based on philosophical objections, which along with medical and religious, are the three allowable exemptions. Pennsylvania is one of roughly 20 states that has a philosophical exemption, while New Jersey does not.

TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Culture/Society; US: Pennsylvania
KEYWORDS: illegals; inoculation; measles; pennsylvania; vaccination
Soon to be introduced bill co-sponser Pennsylvania Senate R. Becky Corbin thinks Pennsylvania should be more like New Jersey where an individual has no medical choice but to do what the state and AMA moneyed interests dictate.

A Republican, no less, is pushing this mob rule solution - what will the mob demand next?

Remind her not to open that door to fascism, and to use her position to educate and persuade instead of dictate on this matter.

just squash that pesky 1st amendment and then they can do anything they wish

(maybe this is the purpose of all those anti-anti-vaccine memes / tweets that are floating around trying to create buzz)

Attempt is to squash the 1st amendment and free markets. Fewer have chosen to vaccinate after hearing mercury was used as a preservative. Read the disposal instructions on a CFL light bulb, just maybe it's a rational reaction. Now the claim is that particular preservative had been removed.

If vaccinations are mandated, would the pharmaceuticals have bothered to listen to the public and take action? There would be no financial pressure to do so.

Ms. Corbin needs to shut up. I mean, measles doesn’t kill much in the United States compared to the flu, which kills thousands, even those who are vaccinated against it.

I wish they would listen to us and get rid of cloned aborted baby cells in vaccines.

I pity those poor barely functioning survivors of the horrible ravages of that spotted plague, the Measles. If they had all got their vaccinations when they were babies our nursing homes wouldn’t be full to overflowing with their pitiful helpless bodies and our Autism Care Centers wouldn’t have had to close their doors for lack of customers..

“”said she still bears the physical scars from measles””

I went to the link and those “physical scars” aren’t described anywhere...What are they?

Chemical Pharmacist? I would say because she’s a politician, she’s a BS’er.....I trust pharmacists more than I do most doctors - they are usually more knowledgeable...

So here it is folks, when over 50,000 people die in one year from car accidents, or thousands of others from the flu, it is okay, but when over a hundred people get an infection of measles, yet so far none have died, and antiviral medicine makes it all the more unlikely that measles infectees will die, people flip out. I mean really that is twisted logic.

The Hon. Becky Corbin, in my opinion, should take heed of how many voters she’s going to rattle for this non-cause.
