Anchorman Can’t Stop Laughing Over Latest Dubious Claims from Brian Williams
Newsbusters ^ | 2/14/15 | Rich Noyes

Posted on 02/14/2015 8:32:59 PM PST by Nachum

There was a telling media moment on Friday’s Lou Dobbs Tonight, as the Fox Business host dissolved into a fit of uncontrollable laughter as he recounted the latest questionable claims from suspended NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams.

By the time Dobbs had finished reading the 30-second update, he was laughing so hard he could barely speak. The spontaneous giggles say as much as anything about how Williams’s pompous persona has deflated over the past two weeks, as the once-top rated anchor has sunk to Commander McBragg levels of incredibility.

Here’s the video followed by the relevant transcript (but in this case, it’s all about the video):

LOU DOBBS: The Brian Williams scandal isn’t getting a lot better. The suspended NBC News anchor is now accused of stretching the truth, or outright lying, in three other incidents.

He claims he flew into Baghdad with the Navy Seal Team 6 in 2003, but Fox News has learned that likely didn’t happen since the unit that killed Osama bin Laden does not, and never has, embedded journalists, thinking that would be — and I think it’s supportable reasoning — a bad idea.

Williams claims he was at Berlin’s Brandenberg Gate the night the wall came down, but he apparently got there just a day later.

And Williams claims he met Pope John Paul II in 1979, but it’s unclear how much interaction he had with the Pope, because Williams’s retelling of the event has differed slightly over the years.

My resolve not to laugh lasted approximately 12 seconds. Williams is done. He's toast. He may end up with a chair at the Columbia School of Journalism but nobody serious would touch him with a ten foot pole.

And that's really too bad, because he is a human being with a right to dignity and protection from unjustified ridicule. That's what he told Jefferson when he helped him write the Declaration of Independence, anyway.

Did Brian Williams also invent the Internet? Oh no, sorry, my bad. That was Al Gore. 😄😃😊😊

Oh, I think Mr. Williams has already shot himself with one of those “photon torpedos” that homes in on exhaust gases.

(He probably built the thing himself, too!)

What added to the hilarity was the guy in the background squeaking out, “oh, no!” At the end of the first story.

I didn’t realize he’d said all those things! Wow. Sad that someone with such a high profile career, tons of money and fame would need to resort to such lies.

A true journalist tells stories about what they have experienced and therefore must be the star of the story. To nust gather facts to present to the people for them to decide the truth of an event would make them just lowly reporters with no face time on camera and no status as a star.

This is boding well for Brian.

I mean, he’s now become a cult figure in the negative, as Bill Cosby, and will soon be the butt of night time comic’s jokes. Has anyone heard any of them doing bits on Williams?

I’d like to know what the off camera joke was that really got Dobbs laughing.

Did someone tell him they were going to put up a photo of Brian welcoming the Russians aboard the Space Station?

Did the have a photobomb of Brian in the back of officer Wilson’s patrol car?

Liar Brian Williams vs. Liar presidential candidate Obama: Do you realize that we have learned more about the lying Williams in the past few weeks than we ever learned about lying Obama during his two presidential campaigns?

I say that for the following reason: If the mainstream media and commentators like Hannity and Greta S. had spent as much time and energy examining candidate Obama's background and lies like they have spent examining Brian Williams' background and lies, Obama would have had trouble winning his first or his second election.

For instance, Birth certificate controversy vs. Selective Service form controversy:

Forget the birth certificate controversy for a moment.

Instead, let's look at Obama's Selective Service 1980 application. It is all over the internet.

1. The person who signed it in Hawaii obviously had to be in Hawaii to do so. But was Obama in Hawaii at the time?

2. I don't think so, because there is strong evidence that Obama was never in Hawaii at the time, the 1980 summer after his freshman year at Occidental in California.

3. Let;s look at a seemingly innocent article on the internet about Obama's Occidental college friends: It says that Obama spent the summer in Los Angeles where he lived with a fellow Occidental student who was from India.

4. The article says that Obama and his Indian roommate went running just about every day.

5. So could someone please explain to me how Obama could have signed his Selective Service form in July 1980 in Hawaii when he was running just about every day back in Los Angeles with his Indian classmate and roommate? It makes no sense.

6. To find out what Obama did during that summer, why doesn't Hannity, O'Reilly, and Greta of Foxnews interview Obama's Indian roommate during the summer of 1980, the summer after Obama's freshman year at Occidental in Los Angeles, California? I believe that he is still alive and working somewhere in the United States.

7. Maybe if Hannity, O'Reilly, Greta, and Megan Kelly of FoxNews had the courage to interview Obama's 1980 summer roommate from India before the elections about Obama's forged Selective Service form, Obama might not be president today. (They should have gone to Hawaii to interview Obama's friends from back in the summer of 1980 to find out if Obama was in Hawaii at the time, or if he never visited Hawaii that summer.

8. Of course, the simple way to resolve this Selective Service form controversy would be to ask Obama himself if he was in Hawaii in July 1980, and if he signed the Selective Service form we see on the internet.

9. Of course, Obama would not dare answer any questions about where he spent the summer of 1980, thw summer after his freshman year at Occidental in Los Angeles, California, because it would be political suicide to do so.

10. I would bet that not one of Obama's Hawaiian friends will come out and say that, yes, he saw Obama in Hawaii the summer of 1980, and he/she even went out with Obama.

11. If such an Obama Hawaiian friend dares to come out and verify that Obama was in Hawaii the summer after his freshman year at Occidental, we will at least have him on the record verifying that Obama was indeed in Hawaii during the summer of his freshman year at Occidental. We can then check to see if the person was lying or not.

12. I have other reasons to believe that Obama did not sign his Selective Service form:

a. Obama's Wallet: Where was 19 yr old Obama's wallet, because the Selective Service form says that the person who signed it had no identification? A 19 yr. old walking around Hawaii without his wallet and his driver's license seems unbelievable to me.

b. Signature: Obama supporters say that the reason the signature on the Selective Service form is different from his present signature is that people's signature naturally change over time. That sounds reasonable to me.

c. Signature problem: But wait a minute. We have Obama's signature from his senior year in high school, just one year BEFORE Obama supposedly signed the Selective Service form in Hawaii: We see his high school signature with his 1979 Hawaii prom pictures we see in Time's magazine recent article on Obama's senior prom. .

d. Obama's prom pictures in Time magazine a few years ago: The pictures are accompanied by a long letter that Obama wrote to the girl he double-dated with on prom night.

e. Obama signed it "Barry Obama".

f. TV show Forensic Files: Have you ever watched the TV show Forensic Files?

g. The show explains how science like DNA and handwriting analysis are used to capture criminals.

h. My point is this: Why doesn't a handwriting expert seen on Forensic Files compare Obama's handwriting on his 1980 Selective Service form to Obama's handwriting and signature found in the recent article in Time magazine about Obama during his senior prom night in Hawaii in 1979?

13. I'm no handwriting expert, but it looks to me that the Obama who signed the 1979 prom letter is not the same person who signed Obama's 1980 Selective Selective form the summer after Obama's freshman year at Occidental in California.

14. Again, if FowNews commentators like Hannity, O'Reilly, Greta and Kelly would spend the same amount of time and energy to examine Obama's lies---like examining Obama's lie about his forged Selective Service 1980 form---that they spent in examining Brian Williams' lies, maybe Obama would not be president today.
