Boehner’s Amnesty Advocate Becky Tallent in Talks with Jeb Bush Campaign for Immigration Adviser Gig

House Speaker John Boehner’s on-staff amnesty advocate Becky Tallent is in talks with former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s potential presidential campaign for a job, meaning if she takes it she’d leave Boehner’s office.

Tallent is former chief of staff to Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)—having personally crafted the amnesty bill McCain and the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) introduced in the twilight years of the George W. Bush administration—and then also worked on immigration policy for the Bipartisan Policy Center.

“Jeb’s team is looking to hire Rebecca for policy,” a former George W. Bush White House aide told Breitbart News.

“The fact that they’re talking to Becky speaks to the focus that Jeb puts on getting immigration across the goal line,” a former senior staffer for McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign added.

Neither Tallent nor Jeb Bush’s spokeswoman Kristy Campbell have responded to requests for comment yet, but the mere fact that Bush world is discussing this openly means that Tallent is definitely interested. It’s not finalized, and there’s plenty of things that could derail the opportunity for her and for the Bush campaign. But nonetheless, the mere fact they’re talking is newsworthy—even if Boehner keeps her. If Boehner keeps her after this, it’d mean he is keeping someone on his staff who would even consider working for a politician who believes crossing the border illegally is an “act of love.”

If every American adult spent 2 days driving around Los Angeles, there would be a bloodbath in D. C.

I live in NorCal, but go to SoCal for biz every few months.

So one day I drive up Crenshaw all the way to Silver Lake from Hawthorne.

Drive down memory lane. GrandPa bought a big house at Crenshaw and Olympic back in '48. Just wanted to check it out, and end up in Silver Lake where he ended up and where other rels live now.

It was unbelievable. Like being in a weird mixture of the Congo and Mexico City.

At Crenshaw and Slauson, I felt like I was in downtown Mexico City. And I've been in downtown Mexico City, it's actually nicer.

Lotta signs in English. Almost looks normal but...the people aren't speaking that. Almost impossible to divine what they are speaking..and when they look at you...it's like "whatchoo doin' here, Greengo?"

I know you know.

I remember that street when I was a kid, going with my Grandfather to the Brown Derby downtown in the 60's. Nice area, normal people...even people in suits and ties.

Dragnet land. Sgt Friday was in the patrol car next to us.

Now? Now?

It's Pancho and the Gang...sharpening their knives for a little white meat.

I cannot understand the obsession with illegal aliens. They certainly will not enhance our gene pool. Among the ridiculous statements their enablers make is that there are too many to deport them. That is total nonsense. Instead, it is a reason why they should be deported - and it can be done by both direct and indirect ways.

I can drive around Richmond VA and see barrios, no need to cross the country. Every state is overrun at this point. Those not seeing the problem are choosing not to see it. Or they are profitting from it.

I moved to Los Angeles in 1976. Still a great place to live.
When I left in 2006, a large portion of Los Angeles had degenerated into a 3rd world hell hole. Most of America has yet to be badly affected by the invasion, so they aren’t paying attention. They WILL.....oh yeah, they will.
