How long before this turns into the battle of Khe Sanh?

Probably a long time as today's infant minded selfi enthused CiC would not consider using massive air power like B-52 arc light raids or napalm. Yeah I know, the terrain is different but in this case cluster bombs would work wonders.

It will not become a Khe Sanh but I worry about the muzzie troops that the marines are training.

How well can they be trusted, what connections do they have with ISIS.

The marines are training muzzies to fight muzzies. Which is which?

Forget Khe Sanh. Not even close in any relationship.

KS was an interdiction and intelligence base the US put out in the area below the DMZ in So. Vietnam to attack NVA infiltration forces.

That the NVA thought they could take it and Giap admitted that is was one of his greatest military mistakes. He lost thousands of top troops and never got inside the actual base.

The base was defended by not only American forces but also top notch SVN soldiers who held part of the perimeter defense system.

And don’t believe that we lost dozens of planes resupplying the camp. Dan Rather and others, esp. CBS continually looped to one picture of a C-123 that got hit and crashed on the runway.

We did lose some helicopters and fighters, but it was never anything like what the leftist MSM tried to report.

Our men fought bravely and literally destroyed a whole NVA division in terms of killed and wounded. If you watch the famous B-52 rain of bombs (a literal curtain of raining bombs) from one of the raids, you will understand.

NVA soldiers died by the hundreds or thousands in their trenches and attack formations when hit by the B-52s, F-4’s etc.

The Iraqi base is out in the open, not in a densely vegetation populated jungle. In Iraq you have a clear field of fire, good weather for air strikes and B-52 or B-1 runs, as well as for the wonderful A-10s.

Plus we have laser sighting abilities that didn’t exist in Nam.

The greatest threat to this training base is Barack Obama, not ISIS.
