A potential candidate no more, Mitt Romney is charting an aggressive course to help shape the Republican presidential field in 2016.
The GOP's 2012 presidential nominee will be a keynote speaker at the Republican Jewish Coalition's spring meeting in Las Vegas, one of several high-profile appearances he has scheduled to try and remain relevant in party affairs despite his recent decision not to launch a third presidential campaign.
"The thing that Mitt Romney has going for him is he has a microphone," said Spencer Zwick, who led the Romney campaign's massive fundraising operation and remains one of his closest advisers. "When he talks about an issue people are going to have to listen and they're going to have to respond."

He does have a microphone. It also seems he is in a feud with Jebby/establishment. Perhaps he would want to be helpful (perverted, I know) to a Cruz/Walker in 2016.
He is selling the house in California.
The man doesn’t have a connection to anywhere, he left Massachusetts when it no longer served him, and the California period might have been related to the idea that Meg Whitman would become Governor.
Romney would be an effective kingmaker. I’m leaning strongly toward Cruz, but if Mitt endorsed Ted Cruz, I’d jump ship and support Governor Walker.
As long as he doesn’t settle down, I’m happy.

I believe his latest is that he is back in Utah.
When he switched to the Republican party in 1993, he was trying to decide whether to run in Utah or Massachusetts.

I can’t believe not that many people see him dropping out as an 80% chance that Bush will be our next nominee.
You have one moderate vs. scores of more conservative candidates. So all the Rhino has to do is to finish in the top five for the first several primaries and he has it in the bag.
This is how we got Dole, McLame, AND Romney.
I’ve heard a few people saying this but not that many.
But in any event, I think our best hope is to hope that Christie runs better than it looks like he will to divide the Rhino vote or that Romney does a bang up job for someone besides Bush.
I don’t need to remind you what happened the last several times the GOP ran Rhino’s.

How many literally DOZENS of times from 2007-2012 on FR did I warn people that Romney has this obsession with not only being "King" of the Republicans; not only being "King" of the United States; but being an actual "god" of his own planet????
Here...allow me to review just a handful of those posts I placed on FR thru those years:

I reference "temple Mormon" in that 3rd-to-last citation.
Please note...that only around 15% of all Mormons are "temple Mormons"...so this comment doesn't apply to all Lds...especially since MOST of the women -- even the temple-Mormon women -- tend to be much more humble.
My experience, being a descendant of a Mormon bishop and having extended family members who are Lds...and from having had discussions with many Mormons...is that the male temple Mormons in particular are quite arrogant. (And again, keep in mind that this is probably no more than 7% of the entire Mormon population! But it does include Mitt Romney)
And, frankly, I don't see this as simply some character or personality deficiency: I think it's rooted in the notion that they've been told from day 1 of being a conscious Mormon that they, if they make it to the temple and adhere to ALL of the man-made Lds rules & regs, will ascend to godhood of their own planet.
Now that takes a TREMENDOUS amount of hubris to think with 100% sober-seriousness that you're going to tell THE God one day, "Hey, move over. Another god has just joined your universe."
As if Romney was a freakin’ expert at running for President...
Show me anything touched by a Romney, and i will choose the first atheist that comes forth.
