An imam on British television taught me more in a few minutes than any of the books I have read on Islam, some of them quite instructive. After railing at Israel and America, the imam smiled knowingly and said that if God did not want those skyscrapers to fall, he wouldn't have let airplanes fly into them. I almost shouted, "Then I guess God wants Palestinians to suffer, or else he wouldn't let Israelis do all those awful things you say they do!"
I hear endless lamentations about our not having a strategy to defeat "Islamic extremism" or whatever the day's euphemism is. The cynic in me says that what we really need is to get rid of our strategy of helping the Muslim Brotherhood and the mullahs in Iran. But if we have to have a strategy, here it is.
We blow some ISIS bastard to smithereens and shout, "Allahu Akbar!" We take out Iran's nuclear reactors and say, "If Allah wanted Iran to have a nuclear bomb, he wouldn't have dropped those bunker-busters."
Islam holds that there are no "secondary causes," that is, that God never acts indirectly, by means of natural law, but always directly, willing everything that happens. Fine, then, let secondary causes, cruise missiles, for instance, or rifle bullets, kill as many of our enemies as it takes for them to have to come to their senses. Make them believe that Allah is killing them. Make them believe it for so long that they stop believing the absurd promise that heaven is full of beautiful virgins waiting lustfully for their smelly carcasses. Tell them over and over again that Allah is killing them, and doing it directly, without intermediaries, such as drone pilots or Marine snipers, and they will just want a drink.

If the civilized world is to survive, it must recognize Islam for what it really is: It’s not a religion, form of government, or anything recognizable to the civilized mind. Islam is a disease, an incurable disease of the mind that is highly contagious among the feeble minded and is now spreading among the world’s feeble minded at an epidemic rate. As with any disease, one can’t reason with this disease, negotiate with it, or treat in any manner other than how one would treat any other incurable disease. Past efforts to contain this disease have failed, now carriers of this Plague of Islam must be eradicated wherever they're found, for if they're not, this disease will eventually end not just Western Civilization, but it will undo over 5,000 years of human civilization.
But consider that Islam is a disease of the soul as well as the body and mind.

The problem we face is that there are a billion or more people listening to imams with the same views as this guy everyday. This is a deep, deep problem and will not be solved until there is some sort of upheaval within the Muslim religion, some sort of Reformation, some change in the basic belief system of those of Islamic faith.
Do we think that will happen in the next 1000 years? Well it hasn't happen in previous thousand years. I'm very doubtful that it will ever happen. And that billion or so will certainly to two billion and then three billion and then ...
Do we think the West is willing to enforce such a change? I don't think so. That would require a massive force and the roundup and incarceration of the world's imamas at a minimum. Not going to happen.
So what does that leave us with? The simple answer: Continuous war with Islam. Israel vs. the Palestinians on a Global Scale. Beat them off for a decade or so. Do it again and again and again forever.

No, that is not the solution, eternal war. One of the reasons they are on such a vindictive campaign against Christians, after a long period of relative dormancy, is that there has been a major movement of God among Muslim people groups, hundreds of thousands becoming Christians. I have no doubt this is causing the same kind of panic the Pharisees experienced when they discovered they couldn’t keep Jesus dead. Only it’s on a much larger scale. Add to that the advent of modern communication, where such major shifts can occur far more rapidly than in the past, and you have a very dynamic mix, in which it is by no means certain that Islam will succeed, and they know it. The place to hit them, the place that give us the most hope of winning, is to fight and win the argument for faith in Jesus Christ, and the rejection of Mohammed. It’s the Ann Coulter solution. I’m not a big fan of hers, but she is right on this. Follow God’s lead, and keep bringing them the Gospel. That is the path to permanent elimination of the threat.

I don't disagree with you on that. It is not a solution. But my view, unlike yours, is that it is at least in the short run of many decades if not centuries, inevitable.
But I'm pulling for your solution. I hope you are right. I'm just more pessimistic.
Islam has been at war with everyone else since its inception. Islam means submission and the true believers intend for us all to submit. We either fight, die, or submit.
There are no moderates, only apostates or practictioners of taquiyya.
1) Wrap 'em in pigskins.
2) Execute them.
3) Let them hang for a few days, or at least until after sundown.
4) Bury them face down with their butts towards Mecca.
5) Wash, rinse and repeat.
They don't fear physical death, but let 'em see that they will face Allah in a pigskin and watch 'em grovel.
Agree with most you said.
The arab world doesn’t know anything but islam now. Because islam permeates right thru. It’s part of arab culture now (not only a religion), totally ingrained. Same goes for those who aren’t arab but arabized.
There are more effective ways to fight than purely by military action. But the west doesn’t quite grasp & isn’t ready for it yet. The west still wants to fight like jengiz khan’s army, who succeeded in demolishing the caliphate in baghdad, but not islam.
In fact, his successors, some, actually converted to islam thereafter. It should be studied carefully & is telling. Long story...
