Buckle in, Hang on tight, try to enjoy the hairpin curves, the zero gravity whirls, being held upside down to help loosen the currency that they're trying to pry loose from you, while Obama heads off to the course to develop strategy.
Yawn...
What are they gonna do, help get hitlary elected?
The host's all seem to be scratching...
Hmmm
What I dont understand is how getting rid of Assad improves their chances of making the pipeline a reality.
Depose Assad and the rebels take over. I dont see the rebels taking over as improving stability in Syria. Without a stable government in Syria the pipeline will not be built.
If oil price war is on, then Moscow cannot afford to lose oil control territory in Syria. Smh. The perception war aside as to which party is belligerent or imperialistic, it seems like the question is whether Obama intends to fight and let alone win this war.
Oh I guess if the NYT said it, it must be true.
If we were really earnest in depriving Russia of oil revenue, along with the Saudis, we wouldn’t have just shut off the Alaska Wildlife refuge and most offshore areas to oil drilling.
The Saudis are on their own.
Hey, wait a minute, Ivan, that's for the U.S. President to do!
Better act quickly, though, while he's still a Democrat...
The two articles (the post here and the previous one it links from last week) provide the best explanation I have read for what is happening right now in Ukraine and the Middle East as well as the crash in oil prices here. It is all about pressuring Russia to abandon Assad so a natural gas pipeline could be built from the Saudi Peninsula across Syria to Europe. The only thing the two consecutive articles below miss is that the Iranian nuclear negotiations are tied into to this to get Iran to also cut off Assad. This could all lead to a permanent ISIS state, a nuclear Iran, a much more capable Chinese military. It is deliberate Obama policy, and none of it is in the best interest of the United States
