Unless the Article V movement steps up its pace, there will be on repealing the 17th amendment. We will have anarchy and chaos, which is what this president is attempting to incite before he leaves office. The current mess called Congress will certainly NOT repeal the 17th amendment. All their favorite cronies would be sent packing. Oh the loss! They could not stomach that. And, there is NO WAY we are going to take over the republican party, They have doubled down on that and ALL the big money goes to THAT effort. Without a 3rd party, and the real conservatives already in Congress joining, there is no other way forward. We do have some good conservatives, if they could be wooed. A 3rd party that had no ties to the agenda of the national bipartisan un-iparty might catch the public’s attention. There is a lot of dissatisfaction within both parties currently.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people do not understand that the 17th takes away the voice of the people in flyover country.

Do a Bing or Google of Third Parties. There is no shortage. Take your pick. They haven't had any effect in the past and will have no more in the future.

The States themselves are the natural and American interest to stand up to the Uniparty interests of Washington DC.

The Framers got it right. They relied on the structure of governing institutions rather than the virtue of those sent to govern.
