One might argue that ever since Harry Reasoner, Frank Reynolds, and Howard K. Smith ‘departed...there hasn’t been objective news anchors on any nightly news....hence the reason to watch Bret Baier, and O’Reilly?

Deception presented as news is lethal to a republic. It makes media partners to Obama’s High Crimes.

“Tell a lie enough times and people will start to believe it.” This quote is attributed to both Goebels, Hitler’s minister of propaganda, and Hitler himself. However, we all know it is the truth and the major American media are masters at the practice of it. They have rotted from the inside and are the main reason America is also rotting from the inside. It is going to take some very courageous people to stand up and tell us what has gone on in those circles as they have married themselves to what is quickly becoming a tyrannical government.

"Get the point? To sell a lie successfully, it must be based on some truth. "

There was a time when Williams would have gotten away with this because if someone wanted to challenge the story, there would have been no effective means to do so. Letters to newspaper editors or executives in the media would have been ignored. But times, and mass communication, have teamed up to befoul the claims of people like Williams and Hillary.

Williams was in Iraq, so he thought he would add some details to make himself look heroic. At the time, personnel might have been silent because they knew the would have been retaliated against. Now however, that they have retired, they can speak out without fear of repercussions. And due to the mass communications society has, they could expose him without having to go through society's prior filtering system.

Similarly with Katrina, Williams though he would add some details. Unfortunately for him, there were people there who remembered the circumstances, and again, because of the mass communications of the internet, his story unraveled quickly once people began posting about it, and talk radio and FOX began discussing it.

Pretty much anymore, anytime any more liberals claim to have done something heroic, their stories needs to be checked in depth because they just might be lying.

January 1898: Frederic Remington; “Everything quiet. There is no trouble here. There will be no war. Wish to return.”

25 January 1898: William Randolph Hearst; “Please remain. You furnish the pictures and I’ll furnish the war.”

Arguably Hearst but threw a log on the fire of sentiments against Spain; he knew his audience. It appears no argument that Williams is but a straight-up liar of the Dan Rather class. Funny, if not for JFK, Rather would have remained a general assignment reporter in Texas..perhaps hanging onto lamp poles during hurricanes. Another Texan owing their career to JFK is Bob Schieffer. “What hath LBJ wrought?”

…and “that’s what it is”

There too, in Israel, some are catching on to the deceptions from “news you can trust.” Leading journalist Kalman Liebeskind on Arutz Sheva upbraids (leftist) Big Media for their volley of lies and half-truths especially as they go gunning for Benjamin Netanyahu through torrents of abuse.

RE: our U.S. MSM employees.. that's the way it is.

". . . the [American] media played a major role in the final downfall of South Vietnam . . . North Vietnam General Vo Nguyen Giap . . . in a French TV broadcast [said that the] 'most important guerrilla during the Vietnam War was the American press.'" Here

I remember Walter "North Viet Nam Communists' Most Trusted Man in America" Cronkite.
