It's harsh but accurate -- The great period for the US was after WWII; much of the world had been devastated, especially Europe. We had a strong industrial base and a strong agricultural base and we exported goods to the whole world. Good times for the US.
If Russia wants to invade Western Europe and take on Germany and France and Italy, it doesn't bother me. I don't even care who wins.
The American economy would become strong again.
We don't have a dog in this fight, but if it happens at all, it would work out in our favor. We just have to be smart enough to stay out of it.

Dude, you're talking about a war against NATO and us doing nothing. Germany and Western Europe aren't Russia's main targets. The United States is. It's we who are accused of being the Great Satan in Russian media. It's we who they boast they are going to "reduce to nuclear ash." Why? Because without us there is no western civilization. The Russkies and all our enemies have more in common with oriental despotism where no one has any rights but the supreme ruler.
That's why NATO exists, so we can avoid being murdered in mass numbers by despots.

Since we are a founder and member of NATO, of course we are a part of any attempt by Russia to conquer Europe.

We don't have a dog in this fight, but if it happens at all, it would work out in our favor. We just have to be smart enough to stay out of it. WWIII won't be a repeat of WWII. Expect it to go nuclear from the start and we will take hits. Our missile defense systems will knock down some of Russia's ICBMs but not all of them. Sure, we'll nuke Russia right back but history has shown they are capable of absorbing tremendous losses. Are we? We don't know. We've never been tested. We suffered less than a half million KIA in WWII. The USSR lost 26 million.
We came out on top because while Europe was left in smoldering ruins, our infrastructure was untouched. It won't be like that this time. What do you think a half dozen nuked cities will do to our economy? How many Nimitz-class carriers are we willing to see vaporized by nuclear-tipped Russian torpedoes? We only have 10 of them and they are enormous national investments that take years to build.
