“Scott Walker is the fake conservative of 2016-He’s the Paul Ryan of this cycle”

*****

Bingo. The deck is being stacked with out-of-the-closet leftists like Christie and Bush. We’re supposed to rebel by accepting a milque toast faux conservative like Walker or a populist like Governor Good Hair Perry instead of a Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin (although I doubt she’s running), etc.

If Cruz or the equivalent gets the nomination, the establishment will rally around the Dem nominee (Hillary or Warren) to ensure the conservative doesn’t win in the general election.

Remember how many so-called “Republicans, evangelicals and conservatives” went over to the Obama camp in 2008, even though McCain was not exactly Barry Goldwater or because Palin didn’t have enough experience? [snort] Now, just imagine what’ll happen when Hillary or Lieawatha nab the nomination.

As much as I love and support her, Palin can not win. Period. No reason to even discuss that further.

Cruz may indeed have some trouble with the “natural born” situation. He is number one on my list of candidates. Unfortunately, many people will not vote for him due to that issue.

Walker and Perry have great governing records. Both have drawn their states toward the conservative side of the balance. As with Rand Paul, I can see a few problems with each of them... no surprise there, since the only person who I completely agree with is sitting here in this chair.

Right now, it is critical to attempt to winnow down the “conservative” side of the GOP nomination to 1-3 reasonable alternatives to fight against the GOPe guys. We must recognize that if we each decide to destroy all candidates except the single guy we have decided ourselves is “best”, the deep pocket donors and the GOPe WILL be able to choose Jeb or Christie or similar.

I for one, will welcome an endorsement by Romney for any of those mentioned in my first three paragraphs, or for Jindal, Carson, Bolton, West, Ryan, or even Rubio. Such an endorsement would not cement my support, but I would be glad that he did not lend what credibility and fund-raising support he does have to any of the top GOPe guys.
