Be gone, Brian Williams, from our TV screens, Major Gen. Paul E. Vallely, US Army (ret), tells MRCTV in an exclusive interview regarding NBCs Brian Williams scandal, in which the news anchor admitted to having fabricated his oft-repeated claim of having been in a U.S. military plane that was shot down.
Major Gen. Vallely retired in 1991 from the US Army as Deputy Commanding General, US Army, Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii after serving a distinguishing career of 32 years. He is currently chairman of Stand Up America, an organization dedicated to recovering and preserving our Constitution and Representative Republic.
In his interview with MRCTV.org, Major Gen. Vallely says that Williams has lost both credibility and respect and should leave the nations airwaves.
Vallely also says the practice of media and politicians exaggerating their experience in war zones is nothing new. He also explains how he has witnessed the medias bad behavior ever since his service in Vietnam.

Sorry. Brian Williams is an Obama minion. He’s not going anywhere.
I think he is gone. It is just not official yet.
Corporate speak below from NBC.
All,
This has been a difficult few days for all of us at NBC News.
Yesterday, Brian and I spoke to the Nightly News team. And this morning at the Editorial Exchange, we both addressed the wider group. Brian apologized once again, and specifically expressed how sorry he is for the impact this has had on all of you and on this proud organization.
As you would expect, we have a team dedicated to gathering the facts to help us make sense of all that has transpired. Were working on what the best next steps are and when we have something to communicate we will of course share it with you.
Since joining NBC News, Ive seen great strength and resilience. We are a close-knit family, and your response this week has made that even clearer.
As a relentless news agenda marches on, thank you again for continuing to do what we do best bring the most important stories of the day to our audience.
It’s not because he fabricated a story. This is NBC, after all. Remember the Zimmerman tape. It’s not because keeping him would mean they approve of what he did. They do.
It’s because Williams has accidentally shown the nation and the world the true face of the so-called “mainstream” media. He has shown that they really do operate on the principle Dan Rather enunciated to Bill O’Reilly on May 15, 2001: “I believe you can be an honest person and lie about any number of things.”
They cannot allow people to see their true face. So Williams will have to go before people figure out the con that the liberal media has been perpetrating for 60 years or more.
Williams hasnt done anything that Dan Rather or Walter Cronkite or any of the others didnt do. Its just that he (and Rather) did it sloppily and got caught.
I started by boycott years ago.

i’m no big fan of this williams person but what is the genesis of the revelation of williams’ dishonesty?
i think there is something i missed here- if I can find this out because I’m fairly certain this did not happen by accident it could be tied into something else
any one here to help me out on this else?
The source of this story has never been clear to me.
NBC stands for NOTHING BUT CRAP.
No one has to watch him. I know no Freeper has watched network news for other than entertainment value in decades. If NBC wants to be fronted by a fabulist, they can do so.
“The source of this story has never been clear to me.”
It is unclear what you mean by “source of this story,” because Brian Williams brought himself to the attention of viewers again with his recent news story in which he embellished his fictional tale while lauding one of the Army veterans who defended the helicopters in 1991 Iraq. The story took off when one of the Army veterans aboard the Chinook helicopter that was hit by the Iraqi RPG and forced to land remaked on Twitter that Brian Williams was not aboard his helicopter as Brian Williams had just once again claimed on the recent news broadcast.
Over the many years since 1991 a number of the Army veterans have remarked how Brian Williams has been lying ion television in his fictional tales, but this time the Twitter feed was picked up by the media critics and given the wide publication not seen before.
“Who wants chowder?”
Of course Brian Williams brought himself to attention! but i did a bit more digging found out something else.
As Williams has been repeating his military mis-adventures
someone in the military contacted a person by the name of Travis Tritten who writes for Stars & Stripes along with other journalistic endeavours . here’s a link to S’s&S’s
