Tom Brokaw and [former NBC News President] Steve Capus knew this was a false story for a long time and have been extremely uncomfortable with it, the source said.So if this report is correct then the problem is not that "Williams lied", it's about the embarrassment at NBC when the story got out into the open? Yeah, sounds like a liberal attitude.

I agree, and Hillary should be barred from seeking any future elective office for concocting a similar false story. Right, Tom?

Brokaw, 74, was still the Nightly News anchor when Williams came back from his Iraq expedition and an insider said he knew the story Williams later spouted was bunk. So ole' Tom was pushed out of the big chair by the canadian upstart and now he wants his pound of flesh.
I love it when rabid liberals chew their own asses off.

It’s so funny, for the last month, NBC has been running ads on Brian Williams trust and integrity, with voice of Michael Douglas.
The timing could not be worse.

Just move him into the 8pm MSNBC slot Olbermann Occupied. MSNBC hasn’t had a Congenital liar in that time slot since he left.

He is making a lot of noise at NBC that a lesser journalist or producer would have been immediately fired or suspended for a false report. A threat from one of their own..
the aging 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radical, psycho spoiled brats and their ideological litter occupying the nation's mainline news media face total wipeout.

These people think that firing a guy that has been lying for ten years will somehow give that network that has been lying for the past 40 years some credibility.
Hate to break it to you Tommy but that train left the station a long time ago.

I am absolutely flabbergasted at the brouhaha over Brian Williams lying.
Lying is the norm for the left wing media, most politicians and Hollywood celebrities.
After all Williams’ lie is just one more pebble on a beach of lies.

Uncomfortable?
Try
complicit!
The article admits that Brokaw and Capus KNEW the story was false for a long time. How long is that 'long time'?

I cannot STAND the banal sanctimoniousness of Brokaw’s “An American Life” series played on the local talk station. If he isn’t fired, I may hope to be shot myself.
