Vast ranges of volcanoes hidden under the oceans are presumed by scientists to be the gentle giants of the planet, oozing lava at slow, steady rates along mid-ocean ridges. But a new study shows that they flare up on strikingly regular cycles, ranging from two weeks to 100,000 years -- and, that they erupt almost exclusively during the first six months of each year. The pulses -- apparently tied to short- and long-term changes in earth's orbit, and to sea levels--may help trigger natural climate swings. Scientists have already speculated that volcanic cycles on land emitting large amounts of carbon dioxide might influence climate; but up to now there was no evidence from submarine volcanoes. The findings suggest that models of earth's natural climate dynamics, and by extension human-influenced climate change, may have to be adjusted. The study appears this week in the journal Geophysical Research Letters.

I don't believe anyone's been able to determine what percentage of global warming is through human activity, and how much is natural.
cyclical?
but but ..
what a racket.
Ignore volcanoes. Ignore the sun. It is my SUV that determines climate.
In my humble opinion, everyone who knows Jesus (and is known by Him) needs no further proof. For anyone else, external evidence will never be enough to reveal Truth.
We must Ban all volcanoes NOW !!!! D’oh
> We must Ban all volcanoes NOW !!!! Doh
Or make them pay taxes..../s
Makes sense that undersea volcanoes can have a big influence on ocean temperatures, currents and sea ice.
Most of the sea floor is very young and the spreading areas are much more volcanically active compared to the continental plates.
Take out the younger sea floor areas and the continents fit together neatly on a smaller globe. Very interesting video of expanding earth here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swCnPOi5qOU
Not dreamed of in your climate models.
Usually on Thursday.
Some of this is what I’ve been telling others for years. It isn’t man-made weather, it’s natural because of undersea volcanic action. However, I disagree that it’s due to belching of large amounts of carbon dioxide. The amounts belched are minimal compared to the percentages in our atmosphere. Rather, it’s the heat released deep at the seabed that can affect the weather and currents. Only now is the MSM allowing some real science to be reported (while still suppressing much).
I bet some Chinese billionaire has a plan to do just that!
70%+ of the Earth surface is ocean and they think that the volcanoes are in a steady state while above water volcanoes are not? Are we in the dark ages???
Careful you might slip off edge of the flat earth.
An interesting article. Worth the read.
Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble...
We can’t kill off volcanoes, but we should tax them heavily.
That depends on what you include under 'human activity'. Scientists only include C02.
The amount of C02 we produce has no significant effect on weather/warming/climate change.
What DOES have an effect is that we pave or cement over land, and asphalt/concrete are excellent heat absorbing/storing devices. This artificially raises the temperature everywhere there is a road, highway, parking lot, etc.
Cities are giant heat islands and put out tremendous amounts of heat. Since they are hot, or anywhere we are hot, we have AIR CONDITIONING. We take HEAT ENERGY from inside our living areas, and transfer it OUTSIDE. In doing so, we not only transfer that heat, we add to it with the heat from the AC device itself. Cars produce heat, more than a typical home AC unit. Just touch the exhaust pipe on your car when it's running. Or touch the brake rotor after coming to a hard stop.
However, no one wants to get rid of highways, parking lots, large cities, cars, or Air Conditioning. And they shouldn't because we probably need that extra heat.
However, admitting that more heat would be better doesn't bring in the big bucks. So.... the government blames it on C02.
