Its good to see conservatives have gotten back to letting the New York Times choose their nominees for them.
The only silver lining to Mitt Romney being pushed out of the presidential race temporarily, I hope is that the medias preferred GOP candidate, Jeb Bush, is catnip to the stupidest influence-seekers, so Wall Street will be wasting all kinds of money over the next few months.
Then, Shemp Bush will declare and knock Jeb out of the running, only to be replaced by Zeppo Bush. I wouldnt be putting a lot of money on another President Bush, unless were talking about the next president of Mexico.
Most candidates for office at least wait to get elected before betraying voters on immigration, because who doesnt like surprises? Sen. Marco Rubio, for example, has spent his entire Washington career pushing amnesty, after saying repeatedly when he was running: I will never support never have and never will support any effort to grant blanket legalization, amnesty, to folks who have entered this country illegally.
Its almost refreshing that Jeb doesnt even bother to lie. To the contrary, hes remarkably frank about his intention to pass amnesty, calling illegal immigration an act of love. Well, sure in the sense that someones getting screwed.
I wonder if amnesty operates as a magnet for illegal immigrants hey, does anyone know if there have there been any measles outbreaks lately? But Im sure Jenny McCarthy is responsible for the nonstop viral outbreaks in the U.S. since 90,000 poverty-stricken, unvaccinated Central American kids poured across our border last year. Polio will be next.
Recently, ICE agents in Michigan captured a major Mexican drug dealer. They knew he was here illegally, but every time they asked him his immigration status, all he said was: Obama.
You know whats an even bigger magnet for illegals than a politicians promise to pass amnesty in the future? Governors offering them drivers licenses and in-state tuition right now.
Guess who was one of the first governors in the nation to propose drivers licenses for illegal aliens? Jeb Bush. He talked of little else during his second term. Fortunately, the Florida legislature never agreed. Even then-Sen. Hillary Clinton came out against drivers licenses for illegals in 2007 at least after polls showed that 70 percent of New Yorkers strongly opposed the idea. Public opposition forced former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer to drop his plan to grant illegals drivers licenses, and hes a man who doesnt give up on bad ideas easily.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie gave illegals in-state tuition. He also directed his temporary Senate appointee to vote for the Schumer-Rubio amnesty. This totally impressed Wall Street, but cost him his erstwhile biggest supporter, moi.
Gov. Rick Perry pushed through in-state tuition for illegals in Texas, and then lectured Republicans, saying, If you say that we should not educate children who have come into our state for no other reason than theyve been brought there by no fault of their own, I dont think you have a heart. (Romneys response: I think if youre opposed to illegal immigration, it doesnt mean that you dont have a heart. It means that you have a heart and a brain.)
Gov. Mike Huckabee promoted in-state tuition, voting rights and public services for illegals, on the grounds that companies like Toyota and Nestle wouldnt invest in Arkansas if we send the message that, essentially, If you dont look like us, talk like us and speak like us, we dont want you.
Rick Santorum gets exercised about immigration only when hes running for office, but while in the Senate and throughout the 2012 campaign, he opposed employer sanctions for hiring illegals. Newt Gingrich was for amnestying all illegal immigrants except felons, which he planned to accomplish with a review board to consider the individual case of every illegal immigrant in the country.
The only Republican who has ever opposed the media and big campaign donors on immigration was Mitt Romney. You know, the guy we just kicked to the curb. On immigration, the elites speak with one voice: The donors want cheap labor, and the media hate Republicans who push ideas that are wildly popular with voters.
As governor of Massachusetts, Romney repeatedly vetoed bills giving illegal aliens in-state tuition. He also vetoed a bill to extend health coverage to illegal aliens. And he made clear he would veto any bill allowing drivers licenses for illegal aliens, so those never made it to his desk.
While Jeb was one of the first governors to demand drivers licenses for illegals, Romney was one of the first governors to strike a special agreement with federal immigration officials allowing Massachusetts state troopers to arrest illegal aliens.
But with the cheap-labor plutocrats up in arms during the 2012 presidential campaign over Romneys suggestion that their serfs self-deport, all the Republican lickspittles rushed to denounce his untoward remark. Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Scott Walker all of them lined up to take Sheldon Adelsons loyalty oath, swearing that, as far as they were concerned, illegal aliens should be treated as honored guests.
You better pray for a flip-flopper on immigration, conservatives.
Not just Bush and Bremer, but the entire Military officer corps. Don't they study this stuff in War College or something?
I remember when the announcement was made. I expected virtually every single officer in the chain of command to object to the idea but the silence was deafening. I was SHOCKED that they didn't get hard and immediate pushback from the people in the Military who's job it was to understand military tactics and strategy.
But yeah, I'm thinking that both Bush and Bremer were idiots, at least on this particular point. Again, we didn't even do this to the Nazis, and they caused us far more bloodshed. You would think someone in the chain of command would have looked at Eisenhower's blueprint for dealing with such a situation.
Unbelievable.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Jebbie, W’s brother? So, only two generations of Bushies.
The only silver lining to Mitt Romney being pushed out of the presidential race temporarily, I hope

Anorexic Annie is still enamored with Mitt Romney. Before him it was Chris Christie. Mittens is a LOSER Ann..... But, a RINO like you doesn’t care about minor incidentals like that.
Their grandfather, Bush 41's father, was a senator.
She got that homosexual hypocrite rhetoric right. (Funny how politicians and government seem to support groups that think like them) : “Its almost refreshing that Jeb doesnt even bother to lie. To the contrary, hes remarkably frank about his intention to pass amnesty, calling illegal immigration an act of love. Well, sure in the sense that someones getting screwed.”
LOL!
Because the chess board is being set by the Bushies and the Christies and the Romney branch of RINOland. The Rockefeller wing is all about amnesty. Who would they get to serve them coffee at the club? Frankly they are all splitting hairs and lying. Witness Orrin Hatch’s “replace o-care” BS. This has ALL been at the behest of Chamber of Commerce. And, truly- Levin gets it and has pointed it out.
The forced training of work visa IT hires by existing skilled American IT people who are losing their job— THAT is the story behind the amnesty and the devil details. Much more than lettuce pickers, mexes and others. This is pretty devious stuff. Little bastard Zuckerberg at FB is in it up to his lying neck.
I’ve heard before she likes to go slumming on the other side of the fence.
True. And she has said that the most important issue is amnesty.
It seems to be the most important issue on FR, too, so why can’t people keep their eye on the ball? Why knock down amnesty’s cleverest enemy?
Is it true though about Perry and in state tuition?
Yep. We are “heartless” to oppose handouts to illegals ya know
Yep Annie is Annie and I don't get her sometimes either.
But she knows how to wave a pen and make it sting.
She has lost her sense of humor.
Now she is just a bitter, acerbic old maid.
I did vote Romney in 2012, solely on the immigration issue. I flat out refused to vote McCain in 2008. Looks like I am voting third party again in 2016.
Big Bump, we (Bush, Bremer) totally screwed up the occupation of Iraq,
Looks like Christie has more legal problems. I wonder if the Bushes have anything to do with it.
And Coulter can kiss my fat butt with her skinny lips.
Lower expectations.
On his part, or her part?
“I’ve held that view for a long time; the only question I have had was it intentional negligence to cause chaos in Iraq and start a Muslim civil war, or were Bush and Bremer both idiots?”
I think it was more a case of believing their own spin. They had told us for so long that the war was going to be quick and easy, that we’d be welcomed as liberators, that they bought into the echo machine and stopped thinking rationally.
