President Obama will host a half-dozen Dreamers illegal immigrants here under his temporary deportation amnesty at the White House on Wednesday as he tries to fight back against Republicans efforts to cancel his immigration policies.
A White House official said the president would meet with Dreamers from Texas, Maryland, Nevada, Connecticut, New York and Virginia, using them as evidence for why congressional Republicans should relent and allow his amnesties to remain in effect.
The meeting takes place as Congressional Republicans are threatening to block funding for critical national security priorities for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) because they disagree with the Presidents executive actions to make our immigration system smarter, fairer, and more effective, the White House official said.
Instead of working with Democrats and the president to fix our broken immigration system, Congressional Republicans funding proposal makes things worse by undercutting our efforts to strengthen security at the border and by focusing our enforcement resources on deporting low priority individuals like the young Dreamers who are meeting with the president.
Dreamers are illegal immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children by their parents, and are considered the most sympathetic figures in the illegal immigration debate. Maybe if the GOP had the gumption to have a press conference with some angry CITIZENS....
Corona’s all around??
What I want to know is are we paying their airfare? And in what class are they flying?
When I break the law, I’m punished.
That’s called “white privilege”.

Kids, can you count the big chunks of BS in this paragraph? It’s like Where’s Waldo, only with words.
Where are the legal immigrants and the outrage?! Seems like a golden opportunity.

I’ve asked my elected officials to hold a town hall meeting once a month in various locations so they can get some direct feedback from their constituents. That would still leave them 4 weeks to have their ear turned to the lobbyists and special interests.
I don’t actually trust the Tele townhall meetings because they can be scripted and manipulated. They know who you are because they called you. They probably have a dossier on any constituent that ever called or wrote a letter. They know the gist of the question because they ask you just like call-in radio. They know what you think is important.
