ISIS, known for its videos of hostage decapitations, apparently decided to up the ante Tuesday, reportedly releasing photos appearing to show captured Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kasaesbeh being burned alive. The U.S. government has not verified the images yet.
al-Kasaesbeh was captured in late December after his plane went down in Syria; ISIS claimed to have shot the plane down, though intelligence sources disputed this.
ISIS has been bargaining with three different hostages to secure the release of Iranian Sajida al-Rishawi, imprisoned by Jordan for a 2005 attack that killed 60 people. It had said it would spare al-Kasaesbeh if al-Rishawi were freed, but failed to provide Jordan with proof of life.
The Sunni militants executed two Japanese hostages after similar deadlines passed last week.
UPDATE: Jordanian state TV claimed Tuesday that al-Kasaesbeh was killed one month ago, hence why ISIS has been unable to provide proof of life.

I actually made myself watch the video too. I knew it would be horrifying, especially since I have sons that are around the age of this young man. But for some reason, I felt the need to watch it.
There are no words. No words to describe the absolute horror of how this man was killed. I’m shaking. If this had been my son, I would never be able to recover from it. As it is, I want every one of these monsters to pay in the worst possible way. They deserve no mercy. I would like every one of those cowards to suffer the death of this pilot.
I think of that young man, younger than my sons. Pride of his family. So sad.
we should give the Kurds massive numbers of armaments as well....
Then Bammy could easily close the prison there.
Thanks for posting these photos. Reality.
ANNIHILATION of the demon religion the only answer.
Saw most of it.
I’m not a fan of Shep either, but I agree.
Give them all to Japan. Then close Gitmo.
Tommy Tancredo was 1000% correct about what needs to be done.
And the highest levels of our government want to be allies with these people.
Good,,hope its 18
Well..just heard Shep stress how Islam is a ‘ROP’! Shep back to his old self. Oi!
You’re right, more fallout from Benghazi and Obama/Clinton/Holder etc etc and their callousness towards human life.
Behghazi, watching as four people were murdered when they knew IN REAL TIME what was happening and could have prevented some of the deaths by acting on the situation.
Instead they just watched as the ambassador could not be allowed to live because he most likely would have exposed the fact that Obama/Clinton were arming ISIS.
Obama and Clinton are TOTALLY responsible for the horrible tortuous death of this pilot.
ISIS and all other Islamic terrorists need to be whipped off of the face of the earth by any means necessary.
Unfortunately America does not contain the leader of the free world as it had until Obama came into office.
The leader of the free world by default is the Prime Minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu.
Jordan should execute the mass murderer that ISIS was trying to con them out of.
Obama and Clinton are criminals on an international level.
People talk about the 3rd World War starting any time, it started a long time ago and is in full swing.
Islamic terrorism has declared war on the world.
We, the USA, should react upon those facts. Period.
Shep is a fool.
Think the world will get it now?
I don’t either.
You are insulting dogs. I have two dogs, Emma and Rufus who I am very fond of... But, point well taken.
Shep’s purported sexuality might get him in trouble with those Peaceful Religionists...
I watched last night don’t recall the what news show. One of the guest said you don’t fool around with Jordan. If they kill this young man, no doubt Jordan will go full force against ISIS with no mercy. I pray that Jordan will and who knows perhaps King Abdullah II of Jordan isn’t a wimpy flowergirl like our missing leader.
I hope there is a repeat of it. I missed it.
