I don't know how to take such reports.
How much are they results of jihad in growing Muslim populations in Europe?
I've seen reports on US "hate crimes" saying Jews are the number one victims, proportionately two or three to one over blacks or Muslims, but how biased are such reports?
Without doubt, the world is aflame with Muslim terrorism, and Jews their biggest targets, except according to the Vatican 100,000 Christians per year are killed because of their faith, most if not all at the hands of Muslims.
And this site claims 165,000 Christians died of persecution in 2013 alone.
Point is: I'm not denying an increase in anti-Semitism, only observing that the entire "old world order" seems to be rocking, unstable, due largely to failing US leadership, and the result in many places is persecutions and murders of vulnerable minorities, yes Jews, but also Christians.
Joe you make a good point. A lot of the anti-semitism in European populations comes from the Muslim segment. I doubt that much of the formerly Christian population is overtly anti-semitic, although there has been a history of that. I would say their anti-semitism is more in the nature of a soft institutional bigotry. The Muslims, however, are overtly and virulently anti-semitic and would love nothing more than a redux of the Holocaust. But as you say, they want the same for Christians too.
To some extent the formerly Christian populations of western Europe are hurting their Jewish populations by not standing up for them against the Muslims. But then again, you can’t necessarily call that anti-semitism, because they aren’t standing up for themselves either.
