MADISON, Wis. (AP) Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker announced Tuesday that he formed a political organization to help boost a potential 2016 presidential run, the first concrete step toward a possible campaign that comes as others are also ramping up efforts to seek the GOP nomination.

Im torn on Walker. He seems to be the closest candidate that could unite both the fiscal and social, moderate/conservative wings of the party....but I keep hearing he is weak on amnesty.
Good
Long time Tea Party Conservative. I would gladly support Walker for 2016. He is a solid Constitutional Conservative and not afraid to stand up to Libs. On Immigration, you can get everything - there is no perfect candidate (GOD is not running).
:)
Yep, no perfect candidates, but the Republicans are far less destructive than the Democrats. I like Scott, Pence, Carson, Perry. Hillary/Warren? Please! Fidel would be better...same ideals, more likely to die soon.
Wish He was. If was though the libs would be screaming about how islamophobic, homophobic, and anti-choice he is.
I think we can all agree that it will probably be Walker and Cruz in the end, but what a tough decision for those of us who are giddy over both of them. it would be like one of us guys deciding over Pamela Anderson and That sexy tennis russian chick from the 90’s.
In addition to Walker’s weakness on immigration is his refusal to stand up and fight Obamacare and to defend the Constitution. Imagine the shot in the arm he could have given the conservative movement had he decided to vocally support Ted Cruz and not to just stand on the sidelines.
However, Walker did not suppprt Ted’s courageous effort to defend the Constitution because he pals with GOPe (Priebus, Ryan, and Rove). Of course Walker is not going to alienate his GOPe masters - and this is why conservatives would have to be crazy to support a Walker presidential candidacy.
Yeah, I could go for Walker. I think he could be brought
into line regarding amnesty. To me, a reasonable position
is to demand border security before discussing the future
of those who are already here. Lots of politicians take
that position.
Walker/Cruz or Walker/Martinez. either ticket would have Hillary in Panic mode.
Its all is about the 11 million [undocumented immigrants], Walker said. You hear some people talk about border security and a wall and all that. To me, I dont know that you need any of that if you had a better, saner way to let people into the country in the first place.
Walker added: If people want to come here and work hard in this country, I dont care if you come from Mexico or Canada or Ireland or Germany or South Africa or anywhere else. I want them here.
I think they're all pretty much weak on illegal immigration.
Walker is establishment. Case closed. Weak on immigration. And appears to have softened on gay marriage. I’m done with mushy candidates.
Walker strikes me as someone who can beat Bush and Romney in the primary and unlike most favorites here he has proved himself able to pick fights with Dems to win(beat them) , not to lose and point fingers.
I think he could win the general election.
Alan West is not going to beat those two GOPs no matter how perfect he may seem.
“but I keep hearing he is weak on amnesty.”
Scott Walker does not support amnesty -
the smear campaign continues

Scott Walker: Obama’s Amnesty Violates His Constitutional Duty
Wisconsin joined 16 other states Wednesday in a suit challenging the constitutionality of President Obama’s executive amnesty and seeking to block his attempt to unilaterally change immigration law:
Are you working for Romney or Jeb Bush or Hillary? Only those three would like to see Walker derailed.
He’s a conservative, Menthops. He’s not refused to fight either of those things. Stop lying.
He fight obamcare and refused to set up a state exchange in Wisconsin. This minformation is laughable
The one thing I like about Walker is that he has stood up to the union thugs, and prevailed.
The hoodlums occupied the state building and got lots of sympathetic coverage by the msm, but he didn’t cave. He seems to be a humble candidate, with a backbone.
Perhaps he’s not ideal, but he sure is much more electable than Romney, Bush or Christie. He also is younger, new blood, up against the ol’ hag Clinton.
Walker’s also weak on the homosexual marriage issue. Doesn’t want to fight the man-man, man-boy, man-dog issue anymore. Doesn’t care about religious freedom. Doesn’t think the decay of civilization is important.
