Well, Sandy actually hit. We lost electricity for two weeks at the entire Jersey Shore. It WAS a disaster.

I remember it; I had family and friends affected by it in NJ and NY. Some areas still aren’t repaired. That’s kind of damage to be expected when you live along a sea level shore or on an island, and a Cat-2 storm comes ashore. But lining-up at stores during the height of the storm is just crazy. Those who didn’t leave before it hit weren’t thinking clearly. And they had plenty of advance warning.
