Jeff Greene is a billionaire who made most of his fortune shorting subprime mortgages ahead of the last recession. Greene took a private jet to this year's World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, along with his wife, children and two nannies, and then told Bloomberg that "America's lifestyle expectations are far too high and need to be adjusted so we have less things and a smaller, better existence. We need to reinvent our whole system of life."

Green owns a $195-million palace in Beverly Hills with 23 bathrooms and a rotating dance floor, two other Los Angeles mansions, a mansion in Palm Beach, a mansion in the Hamptons, and a 145-foot party yacht called Summerwind that once severely damaged a protected coral reef off Belize. Here's a look:

Mansion #1:

Obamacare is one signal signpost on the way there. Will the ruling class submit to the same austerity that it wishes on the little guy for the sake of some kind of medical care equality? [Expletive] no!

"he might have been a clown"

As the article points out, he made a lot of money by going short.

Even though "going short" is an integral part of our economic system, society tends to look down on those who made money off of other people's misery.

Of course, the man that everybody loves to hate, because he made a lot of money going short, is George Soros.

From the Word of God:

Pslam 49: 5-20

5 Why should I fear in times of trouble, when the iniquity of those who cheat me surrounds me,

6 those who trust in their wealth and boast of the abundance of their riches?

7 Truly no man can ransom another, or give to God the price of his life,

8 for the ransom of their life is costly and can never suffice,

9 that he should live on forever and never see the pit.

10 For he sees that even the wise die; the fool and the stupid alike must perish and leave their wealth to others.

11 Their graves are their homes forever, their dwelling places to all generations, though they called lands by their own names.

12 Man in his pomp will not remain; he is like the beasts that perish.

13 This is the path of those who have foolish confidence; yet after them people approve of their boasts. Selah

14 Like sheep they are appointed for Sheol; death shall be their shepherd, and the upright shall rule over them in the morning. Their form shall be consumed in Sheol, with no place to dwell.

15 But God will ransom my soul from the power of Sheol, for he will receive me. Selah

16 Be not afraid when a man becomes rich, when the glory of his house increases.

17 For when he dies he will carry nothing away; his glory will not go down after him.

18 For though, while he lives, he counts himself blessed —and though you get praise when you do well for yourself—

19 his soul will go to the generation of his fathers, who will never again see light.

20 Man in his pomp yet without understanding is like the beasts that perish.

Most of this excess should be taxed away from him.

I have no problem with anyone's wealth--it is not my business what anyone owns or their wealth.

This guy made his wealth on the misery or millions. If he had made it by inventing a new and revolutionary product, manufacturing, providing something that contributes to the great good, I would agree with you. But the way this guy made his money you are way to forgiving and very much wrong.

I like the opulent home theater and the shitty “Hercules” movie playing on it.

The truly amazing thing is this twit doesn’t even blink at his own hypocracy as he demands the rest of us make do with less.

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself - Well...How did I get here?

I guess the term: “Embarrassment of Riches” has fallen out of favor.

Camel, meet eye of needle.

OK Jeff... why not open your mansions to the homeless, make your yacht and private jet into a reef. Why not move your wife and kids into a 2100 square foot home?

When you do that, then we will talk. I do more as a Conservative then you do as a Hypocrite.

He’s got a Chinese wife

It's surprising how western billionaires want 5 palaces but not 50 wives and 300 children. If one of the wives wants a divorce she gets 1/50th, not half of everything. Mitt Romney's religion even allows 50 wives, but instead he spends his life trying to move into public housing in the slums of Washington DC.

I hope I’m wrong, but in spite of all the opulence and luxury they are both as spiritually lost as a goose in an ice storm.

Matthew 16:26 What shall it profit a man, if he should gain the whole world and lose his own soul? And what shall he give in exchange for his soul.

I don’t have any problem with his wealth either. It’s his hypocrisy that I don’t like.

Well, on the lighter brighter side his mansions make Michael Moore's and Al Gore's mansions look down right shabby.

That's fun to think about... all those ‘oh so green’ hypocrites and their green eyed jealousy.

Yep, the little people need to sacrifice MORE so these environmental blowhards can all have a few extra swimming pools.
