The FBI has completed its investigation into the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed, black 18-year-old, in Ferguson, Mo., a U.S. official said Wednesday.
The Justice Department has not yet announced whether it will file a federal civil rights charge against former Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson. But officials and experts have said such a prosecution would be highly unlikely, in part because of the extraordinarily high legal standard federal prosecutors would need to meet.
The New York Times and CNN, citing unnamed sources, reported Wednesday that Justice Department lawyers were preparing a memo recommending Wilson not be prosecuted; U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr. who is expected to leave his position within weeks will make the final decision. Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson and Mayor James Knowles said Wednesday that they had no information about the status of the investigation.

Good news! Hope it sticks.
I’m sure Holder tried his hardest to find cause, too...
...but the lying ‘witnesses’ get off scot-free.
Why do we have the Feds butting in on this one case when there are numerous other crimes and killing occurring on towns and cities all over this country where the FBI spends NO TIME on?
Does this mean that the rioters will have to return the big screen TV’s they stole?
They are looking for a case that gives the Federal government justification to exercise control over local policing methods.
Feds will lose that battle unless the State allows it. Then the State loses.
Fox had one of their experts commenting on the report that no civil rights charges would be brought against Darren Wilson. He thought it was the expected outcome--they didn't have a case and should have known that an hour after they began their investigation, but they were using the incident as a hook to claim that a wider investigation of the department's practices was needed. They have unlimited resources and Ferguson doesn't so they will ultimately be forced into a consent agreement to abide by the DOJ rules...the same thing has been done in other cities.
I think this was on Megan Kelly's program...anyone both the host and the expert agreed that it is striking that Holder has made no public comment on the rumor.
I saw that too. He distilled it beautifully.
All that rioting was for naught? Al Sharpton must be pretty upset. ..no justice no peace and whatnot.
Why do we have the Feds butting in on this one case?
You didn’t. I will. It’s exactly the same reason they jumped in on the Rodney King case and why they instantly gave immunity to the Sergeant in the Garner case. “Political Advantage”. Their jurisdiction was manufactured to deal with the Democrats of the South. Today, it is only used to grab headlines and let AG Holder grandstand to incite rioting.
RE: Al Sharpton must be pretty upset. .
Nope. Al Shaprton is only after the fame and fortune of Al Sharpton. The results are secondary.
In the cases of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, he has already gotten what he wants.
Yep. Plenty of crimes from years past to work on. Say, like ANYTHING the Clintons touched?
Yes, plus he doesn’t do anything without obama and Holder approving it first. At their behest usually. And it seems they want no more attention to Ferguson. For some reason....
Obama/Holder destroyed Wilson. Good job, you scumbags!
“in part, because of the extraordinarily high legal standard federal prosecutor would need to meet”.
Translation from BS: “We would have to present evidence and there isn’t any.”
Justice Dept needs to be forced to answer:
1) Did you find ANY evidence that MB’s civil rights were violated by Darren Wilson?
2) If so, exactly what?
When you are a white cop that shot a black criminal yute and Eric Holder doesn’t try indict you then you know it was a righteous shooting.
George Zimmerman and Darren Wilson, two white men railroaded by racists, leftists and chikin sheet pols . . . and a complicit, fraudulent “media”
