Has Bobby Jindal Read the Koran? Are we really fighting radical Islam or Orthodox Islam?

In case anyone is interested, including Jindal and any other elected officials,
there is a clear English translation available.
It is unwhitewashed and clearly states in English what is written in Arabic.

I don’t think you were supposed to reveal that ... yet.

I doubt that Jindal has read the Koran. Rather he’s read the tea leaves and has discoverd that radical Islam is a good talking point for his presidential campaign.

Muslim leaders must make clear that anyone who commits acts of terror in the name of Islam is in fact not practicing Islam at all. If they refuse to say this, then they are condoning these acts of barbarism. There is no middle ground.
Jindal said that? Disappointing.

One small error is what everyone is saying.
The terrorists ARE practising islam. I’m waiting to hear the first brave politician who dares to utter this truth.
To: Responsibility2nd
If a politician starts calling terrorism for what it is -— SIMPLY FOLLOWING THE TENETS OF ISLAM AS PRACTICED BY MOHAMMAD, I highly doubt if he’d get elected the next time.

I don't think anyone would argue Saudi Arabia & Mecca are the 'heartland' of islam culture & law.
...where perceived infidels of all type are beheaded in the public square.

This is one, among many, definitions of radical.
1. of, relating to, or characteristic of the basic or inherent constitution of a person or thing; fundamental: a radical fault. This version has been around for years. In mathematics, a radical is a root.
In essence, a radical is practicing the fundamental.

In the meantime, we should all wish Sisi good luck and Godspeed. The task he has set for himself and the Muslim Egyptian clerisy to directly confront, reinterpret, and if necessary (if I read Sisi correctly) contradict the specific text of the Koran and haditha, not to mention making the religious revolution Sisi calls for the mainstream of Islamic thinking, is enormous. I would add to that we should pray for Sisis continued good health.
A leader in a Muslim country that says such things has put a target on his back.
The last president in Egypt that made such moves was assassinated during a parade (Anwar Sadat).

Probably does not have the time, what with all his exorcism journals to keep up with

No matter what version/translation of the koran you chose to read - it means nothing, unless you read the other holy books - the Sunnahs and Hadiths - from them you will understand which parts mean what and why: Talibari, Muslim, Isaq and Bukhari.
Otherwise, you are simply falling into the trap Islam sets for the unwary Christian or Jew, that they may cross the one-way bridge to Islam.
