HOUSTON -
A River Oaks man says mysterious photos have begun appearing on his iCloud account, a week after his iPad and other items went missing from his truck.
Randy Schaefer said he awoke Jan. 8 to find his iPad, laptop, checkbooks and cash gone.
He immediately filed a police report but had little else to go on. Then, Jan. 16, while looking at old photos on his phone with his girlfriend, Randy said about a dozen pictures of two men he'd never seen before appeared in his iCloud folder.
he pictures were of two men holding large amounts of cash. Although police have yet to identify anyone as suspects in Schaefer's case, that hasn't stopped him from trying to figure out the identity of the men. He posted the pictures on social media Friday.
"At that point, somebody suggested I post it on Facebook and that led to Reddit," Schaefer said.
He says clues in the photos led him to believe the selfies were taken at a Burger King on Montrose and Westheimer. Schaefer also said one of his missing checkbooks had been found in an alley behind a nearby Starbucks where he had, in the past, connected his iPad to the store's Wi-Fi connection.

Any photo from any iPad or iPod device that use the same Apple account get synced and all photos end up on all devices.
That’s default settings.
Isn’t there a “find my phone” app for the iPhone and iPad? If so, they should be able to track this to where it currently resides.
only when the device is turned on and can make a connection to the internet
If it was set up before it was stolen, it would locate the device, plus also keep the device locked, or eventually erase the device, if the owner wants.
Obama’s future sons-in-law.
They’re just trying to turn their lives around.
That’s a clear enough picture that a quick scan through local mugshots should easily ID the perps. You can bet this wasn’t their first rodeo.
Just getting some of the slavery reparations cash that’s due them.
Is a stereotype a stereotype when one keeps seeing pics like that over and over and over?
Dey dont eben nos wer 2 luk in a selfy.
Obama’s sons adding to their stash. Their grandma must be so proud of them bing stars on social media. )There mama’s probably in jail, and no one knows who their daddy it=s.)
You’re exactly right. Now that you mention it they are all alike. Same stupid grinning up close to the lens, same flashing of bling, money, etc. usually gang signs. I suppose they see their friends seeing them. Their gang buddies are their audience. There’s about a gazillion of these photos with little variation.
I would also guess they're brothers or related, cousins maybe. Black Friends
don't usually get that close unless they're Gay. But then this is the
Montrose area. One of them does work in which is suggested by braids and
keeping the hair up under that black cap. Works with food. Long braids about 9-12 inches
of the right hand perp. No visible scars so they probably have working moms. Stoners.
Good teeth, healthy gums so they see a dentist regularly.
Ok, Ok, I'll stop..
They are now what’s known as n****r rich.

Isn’t there a GPS method of tracking lost and stolen stuff of this kind?
All the time I read about a robbery or some other crime and cops finding them on Facebook flashing the money. They’re freakin idiots. Look at this, just a fast search and all these examples come up.......
