One of the most grating, claws-on-the-chalkboard noises know to man or beast.Yes, five times a day, from a mosque near my office on the Marmara University campus in Istanbul. Sounded like someone in agony. Well, I decided I could pray The Lord's Prayer when the call to prayer came. It made a good reminder.
