According to the protest organizer, six protestors in the southern blockade stuck their arms into holes in the sides of 55-gallon drums and had concrete poured over them. Firefighters had to use power saws to cut open the drums, which weighed 1,200 pounds. The Boston Globe reports: When a Boston firefighters power saw generated sparks that flew onto the protester, he screamed in pain.
The protestors wore diapers, anticipating a long wait.

An ambulance with a seriously injured person had to be diverted because of this.
I don’t know what happened but if it affected a loved one of mine I’d sue them if it impoverished me.

Why aren’t they protesting in front of City Hall or state capitol building? It’s just as effective, since such protests will get a lot news coverage given so many news reporters as assigned to the City Hall or state capitol “beat.”

They should have just dumped them in the neponsett river. There would be no more protesters locking themselves to blocks of concrete. Also we should organize our own protest and block them from going to college class or Starbucks or the Apple store

If I had been there at the beginning of the shut down I would have been sorely tempted to just get out of my car and piss on them. Bet there would have been others who would have joined in.
The chainsaw to their arms idea works as well.

Local news told story about an ambulance on the way to a Boston hospital trauma center - it had to divert to a local hospital not trauma ready. Luckily the gentleman stabilized until they could get him to Boston and is expected to recover. The outcome could have easily gone the other way!

The national guardsmen who fired on protesters at Kent State did so to protect us from this Brave New World we've entered. I remember seeing a quote like, “this people were trying to take over the country and we wanted to stop them.” They failed. Now look where we are. Is this the country we want to leave our kids?

Used to be guys would go to protests to pick up the easy hippie chicks. Doesnt look like a good option, here.
Especially since they had all been out there for a while and were wearing diapers. There's a mood killer!

As a result of this legislators in Mass. (R and D) have put forward bills ranging from fines, jail time and manslaughter charges for nonsense like this. Whether the rest of loony legislature agrees is another thing.

I am sure their parents are proud.
Seriously, if this was one of my kids going to UMASS, they would be looking for someone else to pay their tuition.

Poor man. can you imagine. I guess these twits care only about themselves. But that's “progressives” for you.

Ah, the fruits of urban liberalism, in more ways than one.
Enjoy, urbanites, this is your creation.

Go to the country, build you a home

Try and find Jesus on your own
It works great, try it!

My immediate thought as well...why does the taxpayer always have to pay to get these morons out of the predicaments they put themselves in?

I am taking the Piss(ed) Off Pledge: If protestors stop me in traffic due to chaining themselves to concrete, I pledge to RELIEVE myself all over them. If others join in they will be soaked.
