Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a press conference today he has no plans to apologize to the NYPD for his “fundamental beliefs,” but is always willing to come together with officers to address their issues. This comes just a day after reports of an all-out brawl at a meeting of one of the major NYPD unions over whether de Blasio should apologize.
Officers have been peeved for weeks because in reaction to the Eric Garner grand jury decision, de Blasio talked about racism and how he’s warned his son Dante about interactions with the police.
At today’s presser, the mayor said, “The things that I have said that I believe are what I believe, and you can’t apologize for your fundamental beliefs.”

NYC is getting exactly what they deserve.

Hahahahahaha. He doesn’t care. He will hire private security or set up a group of cops that are loyal to him. This is going to be so juicy. I can’t wait till the natives get restless and the cops are slow rolling it in so as not to violate either black or Muslim sensitivities.

Feathers were visibly ruffled at De Blasio’s drama queening to Dante, but if that was all there was to it, there would be a non-story here. Accusing police of racial bias does not itself coax on murders. Sharpton was a far more troublesome association. He was the one who spoke up wanting “dead cops, now.” And De Blasio should have told Sharpton that this is wicked nonsense. But as far as I can see, he hasn’t and doesn’t have any plans to.
De Blasio is doing Satan’s handiwork. Obama’s plan is falling into place. It’s down to the finish line in his last two years. Nothing would please him more than chaos across our land.
Just more extreme arrogance from a lefty, it’s like a religion to these psychopaths. His “fundamental beliefs” which is what he has revealed on numerous occasions that he believes the NYPD is “racist” even though the majority of the NYPD is made up of Asians, blacks, Hispanics, Muslims, Jews which by the way is why an Asian and Hispanic were killed rather than two white cops. Why? Because white cops are the minority. But don’t let that stop this Marxist piece of rat filth from calling the NYPD “racist”. Hey Bill, here’s a challenge: Show the public one scintilla of evidence that the NYPD is racist, how about you try that.

So the NYPD officers whom turned their backs on him were justified in their actions and the police in entirety should enmasse say enough De Blasio, you should resign immediately the people of NYC can no longer have you at the helm as you have ran NYC aground and the tide is turning and you will sink it.
If he goes to private security or a Praetorian guard of police thought to be loyal to him, he will need to look to history for all the tyrants who misjudged those thought to be loyal to him.
Inviting De Blasio to do that is like throwing red meat to a conservative... you know the result, it is to define the objected characteristic to the one who hates it as being more and more and more commonplace, until we are agonizing about laughably named microagressions.
Until this becomes about God with people playing second place, there is only going to be this kind of grievance match.
Certainly the temptation will be there to betray him.

Well, what about respect from the left about the fundamental beliefs of those who are pro-life? What about the fundamental beliefs of those who don't want to bake cakes for same sex marriages? What about the fundamental beliefs of those who would like to pray at school? etc. etc.

Progressives hoped that Bill de Blasio will become a national figure. But instead of a triumphant entry on the national stage, he became famous as the man whom the NYPD turned its back on.
And the DNC Convention he was hoping to host in NYC is looking for a less troubled city.....like Detroit. Progressive plans fall apart in New York City faster than anywhere else because the city has a small land area and a dense population. There are entire NYC neighborhoods that are no-go zones...... and so much diversity that you need to know six languages to cross the street. (FR posted)
