Jake Tapper wrote an excellent editorial for CNN sparing neither the right nor the left. The comments go on and on and on and most are crazy.

I'm ashamed, too, that we didn't at least send someone higher ranking than Jane Hartley. To me the rally transcends national differences, opinions about Charlie, some didn't even know what it was for lol.

Tapper's article raises an interesting question:

If it's such a no-brainier that the U.S. should have been represented by someone of consequence at that rally, then why did every one of those people he referenced in his article decide not to attend?
