I live in Alaska and when you figure we have about 650,000 people that is a terrible figure of 24 percent. We have oil money and the state is 30 billion in debt. Where does all this money go? Not to mention military spending. The roads are pathetic, the salaries aren’t bad and unemployment isn’t too bad. Schools and government handouts such as health care for that many people just doesn’t cover the amount being spent. No accountability means we will never know where all that money has gone.

A little off subject, maybe.
We watch a lot of the Alaska ‘reality’ shows.
How do the indigenous Alaskans living in those tiny outposts afford 4 wheelers and snow machines.
They cost many thousands of dollars.
