George Zimmerman -- the man acquitted by a Florida jury over the death of Trayvon Martin -- was arrested Friday in Florida

I have alerts set up for GZ news.
Alerts came in at 1:37 and 3:36 with no mention of this.
Now at 7:36 a deluge, all still with no meat other that a report of the charges.
I don’t know what to think except I know much of this country, including the media, unfairly hates him, so I don’t assume anything when it comes to GZ.
that’s the same kind of excuse-making liberals use for disaffected youts who ‘never had a chance’ after being born into poverty. Zimmerman got screwed it is true, but he alone is responsible for his actions today and lack of self control.
Wow - lots of folks jumping to conclusions over a “report” that spends more time on his past than the current “suspicion of...” charge.
He would not be responsible for wild inaccurate accusations about his “lack of self control.”
inaccurate in what way? that the current accusations might not be true? if that is what you meant, point taken. if you meant he is innocent of today’s charges, we don’t know that either.
By its action, the government (and in particular, Florida) has demonstrated irrational racial prejudice. Special prosecutor indicted Zimmerman on a charge unsupported by evidence. It appears the unethical special prosecutor, which represents the government, did so with a racial basis and bias.
I'll cut Zimmerman the benefit of the doubt before I'd give the state of Florida any credit.
2005 arrest for assaulting an undercover cop. The charges were later dropped.

I can have you arrested for raping me....that doesn't make you guilty does it?
The “I told ya so” crowd are as bad as the Sharptonites when it comes to rushing to the conclusions they want.
I personally was always of the opinion that Zimmerman should not have followed Martin but at the end of the day he was still innocent in defending himself.
> Though I agree with your post in part, it seems GZ biggest problem is the female companionship he attracts...
Seems like almost every “issue” he has had after his trial was related to a relationship...
Anyone that’s really read about the incidents after the trial know that his wife is involved in many of those incidents and is a very vindictive type that would accuse you of raping a baby if it would get you put away for life. People forget that she lied about the funds received from the public. I wouldn’t want to be Zimmerman. A hell of a price to pay for trying to stop a black thug from killing you.
Oh please. He’s an idiot, okay? Don’t try to make him into something he’s not.
What pressure? What pressure could G. Zimmerman possibly be under? He’s more or less forgotten. The whole Trayvon thing is in the past. If he keeps his head down, does his job, and keeps his nose clean (like the vast majority of us do), then no problem.
But noooo, this guy continues to make bad decision after bad decision. He’s clearly not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and anyone trying to make him into some conservative hero is as screwy as he is.
I thuink George is a doofus, but the arrest was made on “suspected domestic violence”?
How about they have the evidence and then arrest him?
I'm 100% with you on this - many seem to go out of their way to find something bad about issues they once supported; all based on rumor. Like they say, "It takes all kinds, to make the world go around, and we have representation of them all right here."
Stay warm up there.
I believe that every father tries to communicate a basic wisdom to his son as he comes of age... but most just don't ever receive the message: "Don't let your dick run your life".
The originating statement was that Zimmerman was never arrested before the Trayvin Martin shooting and I posted proof that he was. That is all.
He maybe a moron, but there are other morons that believe a man is guilty just because he is arrested.
I agree with your post. We at FR need to recognize what GZ has been through and that he did nothing wrong. The media is defining him for us and many of us are letting them.
