Police tell French media the hostage takers are demanding freedom for the Charlie Hebdo killers, holed up in a separate siege. At least six people, including children, have been taken hostage at a kosher supermarket in Paris after a shootout, reports say.
SWAT teams, dozens of police vans and emergency services rushed to the scene in the eastern part of the French capital, as helicopters hovered above.
It is thought that two hostage takers might be inside the shop, and Israeli TV said a six-month old baby and the baby's mother are among those held captive.
A police officer told Sky News that a gunman went in the supermarket and started shooting immediately.
"Sadly there are two dead and according to police sources they are confirmed," he said.

A police spokesman has said the gunman in the market is the same man who killed the policewoman yesterday. He also has an accomplice with him, a woman.

And liberals in the US (and Ron Paul supporters) say that all of that happens because the United States exploits those people.
Yep, this is one of the reasons why Americans have been arming up the last couple of years now.
France has one of the most stringent gun controls in the world. Wonder how these bad guys got all of the weapons that they are using
Europe has basically no borders now. You can drive from Portugal to Estonia without a border check. No problem to smuggle weapons around.
