FREEPORT, Texas – A large, angry crowd gathered at an officer-involved shooting scene in Freeport Wednesday after a police officer shot and killed a man.
Freeport police say they received a call for help from the Garden Villa Apartments at 310 Yaupon. Someone inside an apartment said their door had been kicked in.
When police arrived, three frightened children ran outside. Police went inside and found 31-year-old Ronald Sneed on top of his girlfriend in her bedroom.
They say he appeared to be pointing a gun at the woman and that's when the officer shot him.
Police haven't released other details about Sneed's shooting, but did say they recovered a weapon.
Police told reporters that Sneed's girlfriend later thanked them for "saving her life."
Relatives say Sneed lived at the apartment with his girlfriend and her three children.
"But these cops just going around shooting people because of hoodies and mistaken identity and because they're scared," said Latavia Sneed, the dead man's sister. "That's not right, man. Do your job. You're supposed to be for the people. Justice, protect and serve."
Neighbors believe the children may have witnessed the shooting.
"I don't like it. It's senseless," said Clarissa Murray, a neighbor. "And there were kids in the house. What if they shot one of the kids?"
"Why do you have all these other weapons? You have Tasers, you have these sticks, you know," asked Sneed's sister. "Why do you have to shoot somebody so many times to kill them?"

Well, this happens to be one of the RARE examples with a Happy Ending...meaning, the perp who deserved it, got it!

I heard a reporter on TV last night say,that France has areas that are controlled by muslims and the police are barred from them.
He called the “No Go Areas”.

There are no go areas in Detroit already.
Even though I was born in MIAMI it is on my No Go List, along with Atlanta, New York state, New Jersey, California, Chicago and some others.
