My first ticket in California, was for riding on top of a car on I-5.
The cops didn’t know what to write.

I got away with one of those. It turns out in Wisconsin, to be convicted of Reckless Driving you have to be within 75' of a roadway. Since I was 375' up (paved) Jackson Creek the citation didn't apply. There were a withering array of charges that would have applied, yet not the one with which I was charged.
