Sanford Rubenstein Will Not Face Rape Charges
A 43-year-old female executive accused Mr. Rubenstein of sexually assaulting her repeatedly in his penthouse after she accompanied him there, later became foggy and passed out. Her lawyers maintain she never consented to have sex, but woke up briefly to find him on top of her. She had bruises on her arms and vaginal bleeding consistent with rape, they said. Mr. Rubenstein said they had had consensual sex.
In a statement, the Manhattan district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance Jr., said that his office had not found enough evidence — after interviewing dozens of witnesses, reviewing medical records and scouring security camera footage — to prove beyond a reasonable doubt the woman had been raped.
Anyone else would have been charged, but with Sandy - not enough evidence. Riiight.
And Viagra Al’s prescription puts him in Rubenstein’s apt at or near the time of the rape. Wonder what the rape kit shows for DNA?
