The former top aide to First Lady Chirlane McCray announced on Twitter on Monday that she was hired as managing director at the PR firm. She resigned from her City Hall post after a series of scandals including the revelation her live-in boyfriend was an ex-con who spewed anti-cop comments.
Rachel Noerdlinger, the controversial ex-aide to First Lady Chirlane McCray, has landed a new gig at a prominent PR firm Mercury Public Affairs.
“I'm elated to start the new year as Managing Director at #Mercury! I'm thrilled to join one of the best firms in the country!” Noerdlinger tweeted Monday, her first day at the firm, which was founded largely by aides to former Gov. George Pataki.
Noerdlinger left her $170,000-a-year post as McCray’s chief of staff after a series of scandals including the revelation her live-in boyfriend was an ex-con who spewed anti-cop comments.
Mayor de Blasio defended her, testily batting down questions about her background, but she finally left after her 17-year-old son was arrested for criminal trespassing.
Her post was filled last month when McCray made Roxanne John, the executive director of Gracie Mansion, her chief of staff, and appointed a new deputy, Jackie Bray.***
“Having people with expertise in dealing with the New York media is an asset to us and our clients, and we think she’s going to be a real positive person to have on our team,” said Mercury partner Michael McKeon. “She’s good at her job, and that’s what mattered most to us.”
Noerdlinger will be doing public affairs and communications work and will not be lobbying City Hall, McKeon said. He declined to disclose her salary.
* Noerdlinger's son, 17-year-old Khari, was busted for trespassing Friday at a notorious drug spot in Washington Heights.
Khari was busted at age 14 in an Upper West Side mugging.
It won't be long before he winds up shot.
** Noerdlinger's man, McFarlane, 36, has a record stretching back to age 15, when he shot an 18-year-old rival in an argument over a pricey goose-down jacket at a Harlem housing project, an official source confirmed.
By age 25, he was indicted on interstate cocaine trafficking charges in Bristol County, Massachusetts. Sentenced to four years in prison, he was released in 2007, Massachusetts prison officials confirmed.
***Don't worry NY taxpayers, two cronies were hired to replace Noerdlinger at a cost of $200,000 and $125,000 respectively.

DeBlobbio gave his wife control of "the multi-million dollar Mayor's Fund." .... no telling who she’ll be dishing it out to....prolly to finance her ambitions.......those who helped get them elected get a piece. DeBlobbio buddy Hillary Clinton is also waiting w/ her hand out. NYC has enormous revenue flow. DeBlobbio (as do most Mayors) controls all of that revenue.

Insider buzz is that Big Bird Blobbio is ruled by his wife---that the two work hand in hand to make public policy decisions.
In fact, news reports say Commissioner Bratton was forced to caution DeBlobbio not to bring his wife to the crucial meeting recently held w/ five cop union reps.

THE REAL STORY
Mrs DeBlobbio loudly declared her lesbianism in a magazine article---she was in a black feminist lesbian group and wrote poetry about being a lesbian. Politicker noted her husband's campaign website doesn't reference her background as an avowed lesbian and a lesbian activist or lesbian poet: It notes her affiliation with the Combahee River Collective, omitting mention of the group’s lesbian roots, referencing it as "a pioneering black feminist collective."
They met while both worked for Dinkins. She says she had a nose ring and wore African garb when he spotted her and was completely smitten. She never told him she was a lesbian. And later said after their marriage she was still attracted to women.
During the campaign, she was asked about her lesbian lifestyle----she retorted she "didn't understand the question."
The Blobbio's honeymooned in Communist Cuba. Musta been a shock on their wedding night when Blobbio came out of the shower in a towel. "You want to put what where," said the startled lesbian.
